Last summer in 2018 I signed up to around six agencies. It was my first time doing supply work after 11 years of teaching. In the end I found only two agencies that were efficient, professional and had the human touch that I like so much. Thames Teachers were one of them. Thames Teachers were great for securing me long term work, and also part time (0.8), which is what I was looking for. I’m pretty sure that they sold me to the school and they’ve always shown me that they respect me for my experience. They’re quick to get back in touch, signing up is relatively easy, they run smoothly and the Opogo app is genius. Really really handy when it comes to timesheets. They also operate with both umbrella and PAYE options, which was important to me. If you’re looking for an agency I’d try these guys first.

Thames teachers is a great agency! I can't recommend them highly enough. Lauren, my consultant, has been so supportive, friendly and professional from day one and I am really thankful to her for giving me the opportunity of doing long term supply as a MFL teacher in an super amazing school. As well a big thank you to Nathaly, Johnny and the rest of the team@ Thames Teachers..you are so dedicated and helpful all the time. Opogo App to keep a good track of your work saved is a life saver too! Would highly recommend joining up with them!

I've been recommended to Thames Teachers by my friend and it's undoubtedly an A* agency. The people working in this agency are fantastic. Johnny is my consultant who I'm always in touch with and he is so respectful, kind, friendly and simply the best. He always does his best to get me work in the school where I want and that happens 99% of the time. In my case I have to turn down work because I can't work every day because of other commitments. So with Thames Teachers I never have to even worry about not getting enough work. I'd highly recommend this agency to anyone who's looking for flexible supply teacher jobs.

I have been working with Thames Teachers for a few months now and since I registered with them I had a good feeling about them. I have had the pleasure to work with Johnny, Natalie and Lauren, who apart from being extremely supportive, approachable, dedicated and friendly, are amazing professionals . This team always try to find the right place for me and they truly care about their staff ( they call you regularly to check up on how your day has been, they call you to find out how your journey was...) It is a great feeling to being working with an agency and not for an agency. I thank them for all the work they have provide me with and for their efficiency. I also would like to congratulate to all the staff who make this agency so amazingly unique!!

Thames have secured me long term contracts for the last 18 months which is what I was looking for after 6 months of day to day and short term supply in London. They have tried to find me high quality schools (currently at an OFSTED Outstanding school) and don't try to make you do things you don't want to do. If I wasn't comfortable or didn't like a school, I would be allowed to leave (which some agencies get mad about or try to pressure you). Very supportive staff, always answer phones and emails. They pay through the umbrella company 'generate'. Timesheets are completed via an app, not on paper.

It have being an awesome time with Thame teacher, I am also delighted having Lauren, her resilience nature has made me to stick to Thame teacher. I have actually work with few Agency but I rate Thames teacher outstanding, due to how my lovely Lauren is always going extral mile , by sending me out for work.

Thames Teachers was always friendly and supportive and their rate of pay was pretty good. They found me plenty of work and settled me in to a fairly regular stint at a local school. It was a pleasure doing business with them! Hannah was my regular agent and she did a brilliant job of finding me work and checking that things were going well. I really recommend this agency.

My experience with Thames was excellent for the whole duration of our collaboration. Unlike many agencies, they were able to offer me work straight away in a great school. My main point of contact, Natalie, was truly an amazing guide and supported me tirelessly throughout my time with Thames. Overall, I can confidently say that the whole team at Thames is super communicative and helpful, and I advise anyone looking for work in education to sign up ASAP.

Best agency I have come across!! They are so attentive, caring, friendly and genuine. Everyone has your best interests at heart and do what they can to support you and make you feel acknowledged; even if they are not working directly with you. Kim has really helped me with any questions I have had from when I was in Australia to being in the UK. She is always prompt, dedicated, efficient and makes it a priority to find you work and welcome you to the agency. I have so much respect for Thames Teachers and I feel lucky to be apart of the Thames/Opogo family. Also, the Opogo app is awesome!! I would definitely recommend Thames Teachers to anyone looking to do supply. I've worked for a few agencies in the past, and Thames Teachers far surpasses them all in my experience. Communication is a great strength. Every member of the team I have had dealings with has been really personable and friendly. They call regularly to check up on how my days have been in school, and keep me well informed about potential work coming up. I almost always have work pre-booked, which is great as I far prefer that to the early-morning-get-ups-with-uncertainty-about-whether-you'll-get-a-call thing! Most of all, Thames Teachers really listen to their teachers in terms of what kind of work you are looking for, they never put any pressure on for you to go to a school or teach a subject that you'd rather not, and they're really understanding abut last minute changes of availability. The sign up process was smoother and quicker than other agencies I've worked with, and the Opogo App is a great way of keeping track of your work calendar. Many thanks Thames Teachers!

Thames Teachers is definitely by far one of the best agency to do supply with. I have now been a member for less than 3 months and I've had regular work since I've joined the agency. Hannah is a pleasure to talk to every day and she is genuinely a lovely person who is always incredibly honest and professional. The staff are very supportive and do genuinely listen to the type of work you are looking for. Kim is another member of staff who is also incredibly friendly and supportive too. They have a bank of schools that they have worked with over a longer period of time which means you know you will be placed in friendly schools where the agency know the SLT staff well. Would highly recommend joining up with this agency.
