Jenna and the team at Thames Teachers continue to provide an excellent service. Juggling two jobs I have never been short of work when I have wanted daily supply teaching, and am being paid a good daily rate compared to other agencies in London. The quality of the schools I have worked in tend to be rated 'Good' or above, and I haven't had one negative experience in the last year. I really appreciate the work that the consultants put in, and the communication channels are fantastic. Definitely worth looking at if you're after short or longer term teaching vacancies across London!

I registered with Thames Teachers about a month ago. Since then they have given me about 1 day per week of supply work. The quality of the schools was quite bad despite being rated "outstanding" by ofsted. They promised me they had a lot of schools in my area but I didn't get a day that wasn't at least a 45 minute commute. When I asked my recruiter about this she admitted that they had no schools close by. I have stopped working for them because they will call and tell you a school is "outstanding" but there were lots of behaviour issues with the students! This has happened at almost every school that they sent me to. I find their communication in this regard to be very deceptive! They are more concerned with filling numbers than being honest about where you will be teaching. I am not sure how this agency has received such a high rating. However I did receive an email from my recruiter a couple of weeks ago urging all of their contractors to give them a 5 out of 5 rating on this web site.

I have recently come over from South Africa. After registering with Thames Teachers, my consultant told me that I would not have to bother with registering with another agency. He was right – I have landed the perfect primary Teaching Post in Westminster which is central. The school is lovely and I couldn’t be happier. They told me that I would be paid the equivalent to permanent staff members and have delivered on that promise. I highly recommend this agency. They were are friendly, professional and pay good rates.

Since joining Thames teacher I have been very impressed with their service. Deon and his team have gone out of their way to find me opportunities that suit my specific personal and teaching needs. They are always willing to offer advice, provide feedback and will discuss teaching options that benefit the teacher and their career above just getting you in a school-in other words, your not just a number to them! I would highly recommend Thames teachers to anyone! Plus the highest rate of pay is an added bonus!

I’ve been working for Thames Teachers (AER) since January and they are always really helpful. I came over from New Zealand with the plan to travel as much as possible. I’m travelling and working as much as I possibly can and the team at Thames Teachers always keeps me busy with supply work when I’m in London. I can’t fault the service and personable approach of this agency. There are plenty agencies to choose from but I'm really happy with Thames Teachers and wouldn’t bother working for anyone else.

This agency has helpedme find lots of workas a teaching assistant as I want to do my PGCE next year. I started working as a volunteer and then strated getting paid work after a few weeks. Amy and Tolu are my consultants and they are very nice and helpful.

I have been working through AER/Thames Teachers since September as a primary teacher. After doing daily supply for the first three months, i have now settled into a long term post teaching year 5. I enjoy the balance of daily and block bookings but have now decided the perks of a long term role suit my current situation. Lizzie at Thames has always looked after me and been very accommodating to my changing situation. Her advice has been really helpful. I think she is actually a primary teacher which helps as she seems to know what she is talking about.

I chose to contact Thames Teachers (formerly AER) as I was unhappy with the agency that I moved to London from Canada with. After broken promises, little support and poor communication, Thames Teachers was a breath of fresh air. They responded quickly to my application and found me full-time work within days of signing up to their agency. After almost a year in the same post, I went through some difficulties and Jenna and Lizzie from Thames Teachers have been absolutely amazing. They care about me (Jenna even met me for coffee to discuss my situation! What other consultant would do that?!) and always respond to my questions/queries promptly and with compassion. I appreciate all the hard work they've done for me and I cannot recommend this agency enough. If you want personable consultants that make you feel like more than just a pound sign, definitely give these guys a call!

I recently came over from New Zealand through AER Teachers who found me the perfect role in an Infant School in east London, near my new place. I am very pleased with the service they provided – they delivered on all the promises they made before I came over. They are a small agency but they are friendly and honest and the rate they are paying me is a lot higher than what I was quoted by the bigger agencies in London.

I have just arrived in London from Australia. AER Teachers had interviews lined up for me before I arrived and I've now accepted a role which starts on Monday and runs all the way up to summer! I joined AER Teachers after seeing one of their advertisements on Gumtree. I had already signed up to a number of agencies and expected to be met with the same generic, corporate service they provided. However I was greeted with the complete opposite. I was quickly invited in for an interview and had a friendly, yet professional exchange with one of their specialist support consultants. Within a few weeks, I was provided with a long term role within a Secondary School that was a perfect match for my skills and experience. Throughout the whole process Deon and Amy liaised with me and clearly communicated the progress of my registration. I am delighted that I found an agency that treated me like an individual, not simply as a number and I cannot recommend AER Teachers enough!

An agency that responds carefully to your recruitment needs. I went for a one to one thorough consultation on a Friday and had an interview lined up for the Monday. It has led to long term career opportunities I wanted to achieve - and I had a great team behind me every step of the way. As an up and coming agency I was not sure what to expect - but I can honestly say my expectations were exceeded. Personable, professional and tailored advice, support and guidance were given from day one. I have been in the UK for 5 months and I have worked with 5 agencies. AER is probably the best agency I have worked with as they are extremely professional, always give you work and place you in amazing schools that provide with exceptional experience. I have been offered jobs from the schools I have worked at and AER is always there to provide professional guidance.
