Heaps of work, great consultants and pay rates are loads better than my other agencies. No pushy sales vibe either. Definitely recommend.

So happy to leave them a great review! I came over with another agency who were nothing but a massive headache. They talked me into a full time job and after 6 weeks of hell I had to leave. They were so pushy on the phone and I left school most days in tears. I emailed Protocol and within a week they had me cleared to work and I've been working supply since! No reports, only basic end-of-day marking and the schools are normally close to home. Sometimes I've had to travel an hour but apparently this is normal for London so I think I've been lucky... I only wish I found this agency before leaving home but so glad I found them when I did as I was considering going back to Australia. Someone below commented that most agencies are probably the same - THEY'RE NOT! Protocol pay me properly (weekly and no umbrella), helped me when my other agency drove me to the brink and has turned around my working holiday. Love you guys!!

Amazing agency from day one. When I was still in Australia they gave me all the info about applying for visas (I seriously had no idea), walked me through everything I needed to get ready and had a meeting set up the day after I arrived in London. The team in Sydney were awesome and literally had answers before I even knew I had a question! I have worked everyday I have wanted and the pay is better than others too (I shopped around!) A great team to work for and it is clear they actually want to place you in schools you like. I'm sure most other agencies do a good job too but my experience with Protocol has been top notch. Don't even think twice about it; work with them and they'll take care of everything for you!

Loved working for Protocol during my time in London! Good schools, good pay, lovely consultants and a real non-pushy feel when it came to finding me work. They never made me feel guilty about turning down work if I wanted a day off (which happened a lot as I booked a lot of holidays!!) I am a History/English teacher but ended up doing heaps of Primary work in London. I wanted a break from the big kids and loved working in Primary and Protocol were happy to find me work in those schools. Definitely worth chatting with them before you go; I got a £500 bonus after my first term and they offered me guaranteed casual work too before I left Wollongong. Happy to give them a massive shout out for making my 12 months in the UK an absolutely amazing experience.

Just returned back to Oz and happy to give Protocol a good review. Always had work with them, never travelled too far (I lived in East London which probably helped) and always sorted out any issues I had. Schools were mostly really good too - only 1 or 2 tough ones in my whole time there. Really good team of Aussie teachers working in their London office which makes a big difference; they know what they're on about. Definitely not the salesman type I was expecting when I first arrived. Wish we worked with agencies like Protocol here in Sydney - would make it so much better! Two thumbs up.

Registered with 3 agencies in Australia and, having been here for over 3 months, these are the pick. Worked with all 3 but Protocol paid the best (didn't use an umbrella company), had work close to home and had the most work overall. Actually to be fair the other agencies were busy too but mostly called me in the morning where Protocol called me at least the day before. Overall very happy to have stuck with Protocol and highly recommend. They've been happy to accommodate my travel plans around casual work and aren't pushy when I want time off. If you're thinking of making the trip I can't recommend them enough.

These guys are awesome! Rather than write a waffly review, here are 5 reasons to work with Protocol: (1) They paid me directly and not with an umbrella company. Makes a MASSIVE difference to your pay (in a good way) (2) My pay is actually better than some of my mates with other agencies (3) They know what they're on about. Team in Sydney were brilliant (Mitch even shouted me a couple of beers the day before I flew out!) and the East London crew are just as switched on (4) No pressure or sales pitch; I was grilled by my other agency before I left to take a full time job and all I wanted was casual. After floating some options Mitch never brought it up again which was refreshing (5) When I work in a substandard school I tell my consultant and she doesn't send me back. No criticism or cranky emails, just a reply like "sorry James - we'll find a better one for you next week!) I know there's loads of agencies and most are probably as good as each other, but these guys are seriously on the ball.

I have worked for protocol in London twice in 2014 and 2017.every time they have done exceptionally well in finding me great schools to work in as a substitute teacher as I enjoyed the flexibility of this work with my travels overseas. The schools were all fantastic and I also received great feedback from the schools which gave me the confidence to keep on teaching. I would only recommend protocol as a teaching agency as they go beyond to truly help you as a person and teacher.

Very solid agency. Moved as a new grad from Australia and they set me up with all the essentials. Started living in Clapham and moved to Shoreditch and there was honestly never a day where I didn't get work. I'm in a full time role now so don't really deal with them but they still invite me to all the teacher drinks and everything. They don't need to act like bogan Aussies to attract teachers either; just straight down the line consultants who work pretty hard. Do the right thing by them & make a good impression and they'll bend over backwards for you.

They made the transition to London ridiculously easy. I will agree that the rate of pay isn't amazing however; I had dealings with another agency and I found the staff there to be rude, passive aggressive and tried to bully me into working for them. Protocol London have been nothing but lovely, approachable and understanding. I have even recently received a pay rise and it wasn't as much of a hassle as I thought it would be. Would recommend them to others and I believe compared to some other agencies, these guys are up there.

It actually really surprises me to see so many bad reviews. I live is SW London, have had work everyday since January except for 4 in total and have never had an issue with my rate of pay, or getting paid for that matter. My consultant back in Australia was nothing but helpful and all the people in the London office that find me work seem lovely. I would recommend Protocol to anyone.. you never know if you don't try for yourself! I had an interview with another local agency and decided to stay with Protocol. They are easy to communicate with and support me on a day to day basis.

Have been with them since January 2017 and they've been amazing. Sure pay rates aren't amazing but that's teaching in the UK in general, not just Protocol. At least they pay me directly with PAYE and not outsource it to umbrella companies to save themselves money like everyone else. Started on £130 a day, got called back to a school and offered £135 and then I got a block of work at the same school on £160. Very happy with that as a 2nd year graduate English teacher! I think some of the teachers here would complain about Santa Claus. They're an agency - they're there to make money like every other agency. They're not a charity. I worked hard, got loads of work, have met loads of new friends for life and am still having an amazing time teaching in London. Can't recommend them highly enough! Take the overly negative reviews with a grain of salt I say.

Horrible agency! I was guarteed a job from Australia and moved over with lots of confidence in them. The school turned out to be awful and in a horrible area. I was told to tough it out until half term and that I would he paid for this half term, didnt happen. I then did supply and told them my rate of pay £140. I received lots of calls booking me in for following week and accepted all of them. On email confirmation it said rate of pay £125. I called up and questioned it and they said it was an 'error'. They found me work work at another school at a rate of £135 a day. I was in contact with another agency who were offering £140 a day. I called up to get an increase and they said ' we will have to speak to school about that'. It had nothing to do with the school as the agency were taking the exact same cut regardless. If you do sign up always, always, always push for more money esp if in London. If they say they cant, threaten that you will leave for another agency and I bet your rate increases.

The consultants seem friendly, but are really fake and two faced. They are just out to cream off as much of a cut from your pay as possible. They stoop low when suggesting they can't offer you the pay you deserve when in fact they are just plain greedy. Ignore their comments when they inform you "The school is just 5 minutes away from the station.." as they are normally much further away. They are a rare breed in that you would think they would want to place you and get you work, but once they bear a grudge then you are in fact "blacklisted" or ignored til for weeks. Staff come and go so you arent sure who is looking after your area all the time. Phoning in for work is sometimes pointless as other members try to get you to work in their borough. This is proof how cut throat and ruthless they are. Avoid working with this incompetent company, others are much better!!!
