About Vision Teaching

When we launched in 2007, our founders recognised an opportunity to improve the service provided to supply teachers and schools in London by developing long-term partnerships.

Over the past ten years, Vision Teaching has delivered outstanding support to candidates, expanded and built positive relationships with hundreds of schools, developed efficient processes and maintained industry-leading vetting standards. We now offer our candidates a full range of opportunities; day–to–day supply, guaranteed contracts, long-term bookings and permanent opportunities.

We are especially proud of our reputation for supporting international teachers, particularly those from Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and Canada. Members of our London based international team visit these countries every year to provide expert advice to candidates, as we value the personal relationships this allows them to build and maintain on arrival.

In recent years Vision Teaching has developed partnerships to invest in properties throughout London. This means that our international teachers can not only lock in a guaranteed job before they arrive in the UK, they can also secure a great place to live with a landlord who genuinely cares about them.

If you want to work with a recruitment agency that is candidate-driven and values efficient, personal service then we would love to hear from you.

I have scored this agency highly not only because of their professionalism but also because they take into account your needs and requirements. Davina and Carly were the people who I dealt with most but a few other members of the agency such as Adam and Adil also were brilliant at offering work which was within a reasonable journey time. Often, Vision Teaching would encourage returning to schools visited before as this made it much easier for all and made the experience of supply teaching that much more enjoyable. An excellent agency with a great team!

Connection, authenticity, transparency, remuneration and not being taken for a ride is paramount; right? After a career break to have my daughter I have entered back into the wonderful world of teaching. Anyone getting back into a profession will share my fears and especially single mothers who have added commitments and little flexibility. My short journey started with the gruelling task of registering with multiple agencies and getting the time old "we are doing you a favour" feel, being shoved into glass box holding cells for interview rooms, parched, tired and feeling like a goldfish...... so getting a call back from Vision Teaching (VT) was a breath of fresh air. My first point of contact Aisilin was so professional and friendly, she guided me through the introductory process patiently, listening to my ramble and picking out the facts and collating my career history; we set a date to meet (with the added 3 year old toddler Flo factored in the picture). On the day of registration, flo and I was welcomed into lush offices, offered pastries and a beverage (shock) and then welcomed into little space of a room where we sat and waited for Aislin to meet us. She came in smilin and shook my hand, thanked us for coming to see her (shock) and checked that we had been welcomed and were comfy (shock), she took my documents and scanned them, then just spoke to me for while; I felt ultra welcomed and felt no time pressure (shock). I was then introduced to Paul Leverine (absolute legend) a senior consultant for secondary schools.. I say legend because it was remarkable how chilled and warm he was; he let me talk until my heart was content and then responded with humour and industry knowledge. I am someone who has LOTS of questions and reservations, I am confident about what I can bring to any school, so it was not an easy task for any consultant to meet with me... But it was like talking to a friend with Paul, he was genuinely interested in me as a candidate (he didn't even look at my quals or certs) which felt wonderful because he was ACTUALLY listening and ENGAGING with me, not taking notes with the occasional eye contact ending with prolific notes and no connection (as most consultants do). I was open with Paul about not committing to a school too fast and we explored the options of trials and contracts- it is important to me, I want to ensure that it is a 2-way process and the school meets my requirements also. This was no hurdle and I suggest that all candidates are open with consultants from the start! At VT this is welcomed and indeed respected. All-in-All, VT (namely PAUL) have provided me with endless possibilities that I am keen to explore, he keeps in contact with me and updates me with new information, always with humour and openness. I would advise anyone looking to find work to ensure that you sign up with an agency ("VT") that is personable, open, transparent and not put off by queries/questions and most of all treats you with respect.... VISION TEACHING...PAUL LEVERINE..... Yes money is important, we all want our pound of flesh but if you sign a high revenue deal with poor returns what does that say about your investment and more importantly about yourself? NB: So I have yet to actually secure a post as I began this process during the 6 weeks holidays (this is something I am sure you want to know) but as September fast approaches I am confident that VT (aul) will secure a sweet gig for me- I will update this as my situation progresses.

I recommend Vision as a teaching agency that will meet your supply work needs. Whether it is full-time, part-time, daily or half-day, long term or short term teaching roles that I might want, my consultant Adam Poole was there to find me the perfect school, location I could reach to within an hour and year group I requested. All my emails and phone messages are replied to almost immediately as well. Overall, all staff at Vision are helpful, courteous and work with the upmost professionalism. Thank you for all your support.

I've been teaching for many years, and have decided to take a leap into the unknown and sign with Vision Teaching. From the outset, Adil Majothi, guided me through the process with considerable kindness, professionalism and patience! He has made the transition seamless and painless and has gone above and beyond to ensure that I am matched with a school which suited all of my needs. I am so impressed with his enthusiasm and determination at getting the right role for me, I cannot thank him or Vision Teaching enough. Thank you Adil, you're a star!

My initial planning of my journey to London began back at home, in Australia in August 2018. This was an important goal of mine, so I made sure I did my research and called a few different agencies (as I read multiple horror stories online about poor experiences). The first person I spoke to was Abbi, who came across as professional, informative and willing to educate me about the ins and outs of the process (also a genuinely lovely person). I then set a date for my arrival and Abbi told me everything I needed to do, making the process super easy and very clear for me. Upon arrival to London, I was kindly picked up by Marianne, who dropped us to our door. We had a bit of miscommunication about a key being left out to get into the place and Marianne very kindly went out of her way to sort this issue out and wait with us while we got in. The schools and classrooms I have worked in to date have been filled with such lovely children and teachers. It has been a pleasure working with Vision so far, very happy to recommend them to any teacher looking for work. My move to London could not possibly have run any smoother. Vision truly went the extra mile for me. Special shout out to Abbi and Marianne! Looking forward to the rest of my journey here.

We have worked with Vision since they started and have found them to be an extremely professional agency who work alongside us to find the right candidate to suit our requirements. They get to know the schools they work with and go the extra mile especially when recruiting for long term positions and recruiting suitably experienced staff for the out Provision for Autism as well as our mainstream school. Support has always been immediately available from their staff to ensure their teachers and teaching assistants settle in well to our school. I would recommend them to any school looking for an agency who can provide good teachers and teaching assistants and want good client service.

Surely recommend this agency, very helpful to get me through the paperwork and deliver what it promised. Carley D. was very easy to liaise with as both exceptionally professional and friendly, adding a touch of 'personal' to the signing up process. I have been working with them only for the past month (only one day per week as I requested) and have been pleased with the school they chose to send me to. I am not sure their rate of pay for experienced teachers is the best one but I never asked for more, so I believe that's my fault and that's why I will actually have to ask for more. Overall, so far so good!

I have submitted this review elsewhere as well. I secured a long-term position though VT. I initially found the agency staff to be polite and knowledgeable, and was happy with the school. However, towards the end of my contract, I found them to be not the most transparent of agencies. Although I am an experienced teacher, I was earning less than I should have been and was told by various people at the agency that it would be unlikely I could earn more. I have since been in contact with other agencies and found out this not to be the case and have had no trouble in securing a role paid to scale - an increase of £500 more each month after tax - a huge difference. If you speak to someone in the office, be sure to ask them to note details of your conversation onto your file. I spoke with different people at different times to see if other jobs were available that were more suited to my experience and apparently no record was made of these conversations. Levels of politeness vary amongst the staff working there and, at times, other members of staff were dismissive and abrupt towards me when I enquired about earning a higher rate of pay. Also, after 12 weeks, it is the agency's responsibility to update your contract with them. They did not do this for me despite me working in the same role for a year. Regardless of whether updating your contract changes anything about your role, it is something they must do and they didn't. By all means give VT a go, but if you are an experienced teacher, I would advise you to look elsewhere before settling with them. In my experience, other agencies have more roles better suited to teachers on higher pay scales. This is something another reviewer has mentioned. If you are new to supply teaching, ensure you are put on an AWR contract if you have been in the same school for longer than 12 weeks. Speaking with other agencies, I have found them to be more forthcoming about contract details right from the start, and as I said earlier, more transparent about their role and responsibilities and what you, as a supply teacher, should expect from them.

Great agency! Definitely recommended! I can’t stress enough how helpful they were in assisting with my relocation here. That alone provides immense value. My roomates went with another agency who did not help at all with getting them on their feet when they first came to the UK. It was rough for them. This was not the case for me. Once here, they were able to consistently find me supply work at pretty solid schools. They are also open and receptive to your preferences. Shout out to everyone at Vision especially Marc!

Vision have been very helpful and understanding in my transition into London life/teaching. Very friendly people and they are sincere in their assistance. If you would rather be left alone and given minimal support they will respect that also. It's up to you how much help they will provide. There are a lot of teachers amongst their ranks so they understand your perspective.

Vision kept in contact with me for about a year as a planned my move to London. I never felt pressured, but always felt valued as an individual (which is what I wanted in an agency). I arrived with the intention of doing supply work, however, the secondary coordinator found me a term-long position in a super supportive staff room. I was given a week trial where I could leave if I didn't want to continue the term, but have really enjoyed having a fantastic team. Considering I graduated in November, I have been given a very good daily rate. Within my first week of teaching, the secondary coordinator organised an interview at another school for me, for the following academic year. The secondary coordinator had tailored to my subject preference, with a school that aligned with my values. Overall, Vision have made my move to the UK stress-free and more enjoyable.
