Came over in January and was given work immediately. I worked for the London office, most of the schools were in East London. I worked five days a week just about the whole time I was with the agency, with the only exception being one week after a half term. They found me interviews to go to and found me a full time PPA position with a school for the last three months of the school year. The staff are friendly, professional, and always there to help out. I never felt like I was taken advantage off or neglected. The schools were all easy to get to and I enjoyed going back to them. I am extremely happy with the service they provided me.

I managed to get a teaching placement for seven months in a school in North West London. Timeplan were very efficient in helping me secure this role and offered encouragement throughout. I have mainly dealt with Devon, who has been fantastic as an agent.

Timeplan has helped me to find an amazing grammar school! I haven't actually had very much contact with Timeplan after I began work because things were going very well. They do call from time to time to check in and are always there to help. Their biggest help was getting me settled and completing the bulk of the paperwork. It made it quite easy to come over and teach!

I have been working with Timeplan for ten months now, and am thoroughly enjoying it. There is always plenty of work around, and overall most of the schools are great to work in. Through Timeplan I've managed to get a job three days a week in a secondary school, as well as extra supply days to supplement my pay. The staff in the London office are always friendly and willing to give me advice when needed. In particular, Zoe (who used to work there), Philippa, Laura, Nathalie, Devon, Adam, Monique and Nigel are always friendly and have been immensely helpful. I have and will continue to recommend Timeplan to all my friends thinking of coming to teach in the UK. Thanks Timeplan for all the hard work. It's greatly appreciated.

I worked for Timeplan for 2 years and was very impressed by their service. Before I even arrived in the UK, I attended a seminar which provided me with a lot of information and enabled me to find out answers to the questions that I had. When I first signed up with them I was kept up-to-date via e-mail on a regular basis and was assigned a person that looked after me and rang me often (Devon Lovell). They were very efficient in helping me fill out the necessary paperwork and setting up a bank account. I had work every single day that I wanted work - starting with 2 long term positions before finishing with daily supply. I feel that the staff at Timeplan went over an above to ensure that I was happy with the the schools that I was working at. Every few weeks I was visited by someone from the agency to touch base and see how things were going, as well as regular phone calls. They had monthly socials, which was a great way to meet other people. I would definitely recommend Timeplan to other teachers wanting supply work in the UK.

TimePlan was recommended to me by 3 of my friends before I left NZ, so there was no question who I was going to go with. And I'm really glad I did. Within 2 days of arriving, I had an interview with a school and got the job. The job didn't start till the new term, and they busied me up with Supply work in the meantime. Before I left to go home, they offered me an interview with an exclusive independent school. I was very tempted, but by then (after a year of teaching and travelling alot) had decided to make my way home. Defintely recommend.

I worked for TimpePlan Essex and East Anglia. They offer accommodation to be ready for you on arrival, which is great because you are sharing with other teachers. You won’t feel lonely, even if you are moving to the UK by yourself. If you are on a Guaranteed Work Agreement, TimePlan will pay you for 8 days a fortnight, even if they can’t find you the work. It very rarely happens, but it’s nice to know that you might be paid to watch TV or go on the London Eye! Their online timesheets are so handy. My friend from another teaching agency often didn’t get paid on time because she had to rely on the school office ladies to fax hers through. The best thing about TimePlan Essex, are the two very hard working Kiwis in the office. They’ve been there for years and know all the schools and the bus routes to help you find where you’re working. I don’t know how they manage to organise all those teachers. The office wouldn’t run without them.

TimePlan is a good agency overall, but there is not much work this year. We've been working an average of 1 day per week.

I think people need to realize that teaching in the UK, especially London, is very challenging. I've read a variety of teachers' opinions about Timeplan. Clearly no agency is perfect, but in my experience Timeplan actually treated me like a person, not a number. I can't say I had the same experience with other agencies. I think you need to keep an open mind when looking for the agency that suits you. Just because one person had a negative experience with them doesn't make them an all around horrible agency. I think Timeplan tries its best to take care of its teachers and balance their skills and needs with their schools. I had a wonderful experience with them and am confident that others can do the same. The majority of my teaching experience in the UK was through Timeplan. They got my completely set up before heading over and tried to ease me into life in the UK. We attended orientation our first week in London and were introduced to other Canadians (some of which became my close friends). In addition, Timeplan hosted monthly socials to introduce other teachers to each other. This definitely provided me with a support system of friends in London! While I was doing daily supply, agents were always able to help guide me if I got lost looking for a school. They would normally give me a "heads up" if the school I was going into was a rough one. Having said that, many of the schools I worked at with Timeplan were in East London which is typically known for being a bit more difficult to teach in. There definitely were some tough days, but to me it was an incredible learning experience. During months that it was more difficult to get supply work, Timeplan was the only agency sending me out to schools. Their agents were very competent and most were a pleasure to get to know over my two years there.

I worked for the Timeplan Surrey office, they have been fantastic. I had a telephone interview whilst in Canada and came over on their guaranteed work program. I started off occasional teaching which helped me get used to the way things are over here and when I was ready they found me a great LTO. I know that myself as other Canadian friends that came over were worried about the behaviour of students, but I found it no worse than teaching in Toronto. The office was always there to support me so I didn’t feel like I was on my own.

I'm shocked at how bad this agency is. Since registering for work I have only been called once, and that was to check my general availability. I have given up calling the agency to see if there is any work because, after months of calling them, they haven't managed to find me even a half day. Having spent so much on a criminal background check, and the travel cost of getting to Tonbridge for the interview, to say that I am bitterly disappointed to be so out of pocket is an understatement. Thankfully I have secured work through another agency, but Timeplan are unprofessional in my opinion.

Time Plan is a solid agency. Agents will help you every step of the way, and are always there to answer questions and offer feed back. Time Plan helped me cross over into the UK from Canada, get set up with housing and banking, and got me into the class room. Thank you!

I have to say I have had a really hard time with Timeplan HBB office. I was brought over for a full time position which was meant to start, then it got delayed a few months but I did a guarantee supply contract. Which i never received. Finally the job fell through all together and i got put on a reduced guarantee which. Which I was NEVER paid on. Every pay check there was an excuse as to why I wasn't being paid my full amount. In a 3 week period I was paid for 3 days of work. I was treated unfairly and was told that it was my fault that I wasn't working. I was marked as available every day and only once did they ever call me and ask if i could work and then they never followed it up. all in all a bad experience. I have just enough money for a flight home and thats about it.

I came over from Australia nervous as to whether I'd get enough work and whether the agency I signed with would be reliable. Since working for Timeplan I have had nothing but fantastic service with them. They are so approachable, so if you're unwell or if there is any problems you have, they were always willing to go out of their way to help you and ensure you're having the best working experience in London. I cannot complain one bit about Timeplan and would highly recommend them to anyone who is unsure...especially Shannon, Devon and Adam at the London office- incredible!

I agree with most other comments, espcially Anon Mar 29. Out of a group of 4 teachers, I only know one who had a postive experience and got a great school and even they concede that it was probably their relationship with the tp staffer that helped that happen. Shop around before deciding- and demand good service.

TimePlan Education is the only company I would head over to the UK with. As a Canadian moving to a new country I had so many questions and concerns with regards to paperwork, the big move and making ends meet. The offices in Canada and in the UK were more than helpful with all of these things and when I found myself in the UK I worked on a guaranteed supply contract happily for 1 year, twice. People who are not proactive and can't answer their phone are not made for this, but if you really want to work and are going to the UK to teach, they will work hard for you and make it worth your while.

Like many I registered with the Agency on the strength of the promises made re finding me work. The good thing about TP is they reimburse you the cost of your CRB. The bad thing is that they only reimburse you AFTER you have done some work through them. After 8 months I am still waiting for them to secure me a day's supply. I spent the first month after my CRB arrived getting up at dawn in order to be ready should TP call with a day's supply. I suppose it is a reflection of the market that I never got a call. But I am disappointed that since September my details have only been sent to 2 schools, and the most contact I have had is (a) to find out at the end of term if I am still available for work; and (b) to invite me to a social evening. My advice to anyone would be to register with more than one agency at the same time. That way if one is a bit hopeless, you won't have wasted time finding out how hopeless as the other agency will hopefully be getting you out. So on the plus side, TP is friendly and seems professional. On the down side, they don't contact you and don't find you work. At least that is my experience.

Just felt I had to respond to the previous post, which I suspect was written by a current Timeplan employee. I am a UK teacher with years of successful teaching in a variety of subjects. Since I registered with Timeplan last year I have not received even one day's work, despite the agency getting me to pay for a CRB on the basis of a school wanting me for a free trail day, which they then cancelled Please DON'T use Timeplan. THere are plenty of other agencies. Save your time and money, and use one of the others instead. BTW I have also worked in teaching recruitment and recognise exceptionally poor service when I am on the receiving end of it. A truly atrocious agency, with dishonest and unprofessional staff.
