I have been seriously disappointed by my experience working with TimePlan on their GWA contract. As a highly trained secondary teacher I was expecting work in secondary classrooms. The vast majority of daily placements are in primary schools, for which I am only slightly better qualified than any other random adult with a valid criminal record check. Also, if you do happen to work in the GWA contract, throughly document the days of your contract for which you called, but did not receive work. This agency is the most disorganised professional entity I have ever worked with or run across. They do not check their own online booking and availability calendars, they lose important paperwork delaying job comencment, etc. Dreadful. If I had known about RMTA when I first encountered Timeplan I be with a different agency.

I'm overseas teacher from Latvia. Came to UK in 19th of July and get interview in 19th of August. Interview was successful! So Thank you Timeplan for great opportunity and finding one of the best schools for me. Especially thanks to Timeplan's agent Adrian Heffernan! I'm really happy.

2 years ago, before moving to England, I was dealing with Timeplan to try and find a position. Every position they put forward to me was outside of my teaching subjects (For example, I was forwarded a position teaching German even though I do not speak a word of German and am trained as a Humanities/Maths teacher). I never spoke with the same consultant more than once, despite requests to be put through to specific people. When I went back to them for a assistance in securing a new position, it was much of the same problem, and resulted in me being told that "there is nothing we can do to help you."

I was contacted by Time Plan before arriving in the UK & they were very helpful in signing me up. They immediately offered positions in cities & villages all over the UK despite me specifically stating that I will live in London. I cant comment on the schools as I never ended working a day for them as despite their promises of plenty of work, they never gave me any positions.

I joined this agency 4 months before I arrived in the UK and yet after now being in the UK for a month I still have not worked a single day thanks to Timeplan. After continually specifying the type of work I wanted (daily supply) The only jobs they have suggested for me were ones I was not qualified for or permanent positions which I will not be in the country long enough to take on. They now claim that I haven't completed all the paperwork required to work in the UK, despite them not sending me said paperwork months ago. They do not answer emails I send them and when they do send an email, even that is unprofessional and full of spelling and grammatical errors, which is really promising since they are supposed to be in charge of recruiting good teachers! Despite my 7 years of teaching experience, they have made me feel like I will never teach in England. I definitely would not have come to the UK to teach if I'd known dealing with this agency was going to be such a nightmare. Moving to a new country is stressful enough, you do not need to be dealing with people like this. My advice - do not go with Timeplan!

Horrible service! I recently registered with this agency, I emailed them (can't say what it was regarding right now) and NEVER HEARD BACK! My registration process still isn't finished (they are "contacting references") and I never heard back! What a joke! I'm here in London on a tight budget.. Good thing I'm dealing with other agencies, otherwise I'd be really screwed and pissed off. Will add more in the future should things not change (re: specifics as to what happened) Rate of pay is lowest I've seen! Thank god for this site and good on those who are doing their research!!

When I moved to London I was worried and apprehensive about whether I would get work, whether I would be able to find a home and whether I would be able to afford to travel. Timeplan supplied me with work at the best schools I could hope for, moved me into a lovely house with great people, were flexible and welcoming when it came to my travel arrangements and were always pleasant and accommodating whenever I spoke to them/saw them. I couldn't have asked for better.

I had the pleasure of working for the Timeplan London area and thoroughly enjoyed my time doing so. I had constant work and soon after was offered a long term position. All the members of staff at the London office were friendly and easy to talk to. They were available to answer questions, and were helpful with ensuring that I had directions to get to a school for daily supply work. The schools were fantastic to work in, with a range of year groups on offer to teach. I would happily consider working with Timeplan again in the future! I would definitely recommend Timeplan Teaching Agency to anyone considering supply or cover teaching.

I am an Aussie teacher moving to London in January. While still in Australia, I have been been in contact with TimePlan. From the beginning I have had the pleasure of talking, emailing and skyping with Nicholas Miller who has been both professional and friendly in his dealings with me. He continues to follow up any questions that I may have and has made me feel very comfortable in any decisions I have made or need to make. I am so looking forward to arriving in London and meeting Nick and his colleagues to begin my journey as a teacher in the UK. Fida Elbarbar

My decision to work abroad is one that I will never regret. Throughout the early stages of this venture, I was in constant contact with the TimePlan representatives in Southern Ontario who provided me with every tiny facet of detail to the consistent questions I had. TimePlan was able to set up my interview in downtown Toronto, and were very supportive after I was offered the position that I currently have. Filling out the required paperwork was hassle-free, and I cannot thank those at TimePlan Canada who were able to quickly line up an interview that would eventually start my career. The TimePlan Essex office continued with the consistency of the office back home. Great, trustworthy representatives whose duty is to help ease your transition into a new country and new way of life. The accommodation is absolutely remarkable, as the house I live in was fully furnished and supplied with modern appliances and the like. The location is great as well, as I am a 2 minute walk to the train station, which helps me get to work every morning in just about 20 minutes. They city of London is also a short train ride away as well. I hope to take in at least half of what the city has to offer during my time here. I am currently in a full time role, teaching Year 10, 12, and 13 Business Studies, as well as Year 9 ICT. The students have been a pleasure to teach these first 7 weeks, and I am supported by a phenomenal staff who are there to help me every step of the way. It was difficult familiarizing myself at first with a new curriculum and grading system, so it has been a learning experience as well. I fully understood this would not be a simple transition, but challenges are what will make me a better educator in the future. Of course, I do miss family and friends back home. Leaving behind those who have witnessed not only your physical growth throughout the years, but also have been witnesses to my journey of becoming a teacher, was a difficult choice. However, that sacrifice ultimately set the foundation for myself to begin the career I was meant to have. The weeks do tend to go by faster then you think, and I am counting the days until I fly back home for Christmas break. Again, this was only made possible thanks to the selfless and invaluable support from all of those at TimePlan.

I remember researching about timeplan on this site before deciding to move country and accept a job with them. This job was supposed to run until next July but I was let go with no notice so I wished I had of realised that there are a lot of bad reviews on here which says it all. One comment I particularly agreed with is that when there is any trouble they will not be on your side at all they will side with the school because they want their future business!! Timeplan are very friendly and I'm sure their intentions are very good and they are very organised but I am now in a bad situation away from home, most of the fault lies with the school but Timeplan are to blame also because they rushed me in at the start (which included me paying a LOT of money for a flight for interview) and they kept brushing my many worries aside which all ended up to be legitimate worries considering what happened in the end!...lets just say there was some trouble with ofsted, nothing to do with me as a teacher. They never provided me with a contract of employment either. They don't help with the cost of anything such as flights and trains which most other agencies do...'Engage' paid for flights to and from London and a hotel for a week for about 60 of us from all across the globe! They also don't help you to find accommodation, you are very much in your own with them. On the other hand the pay was good or average for supply and was always in on time and they are very apologetic for what happened.

I spoke with a recruiter in the canadian office who gave me information for teaching in Scotland for January. I was told to contact her at the end of summer to "get going on the paper work" when I did, she went from saying in one email that there were no supply teaching jobs in Scotland and only minimal, regular positions and that I should contact her if I wanted to get going on that. Then in her second email, she said that they don' t recruit for Scotland and that I'de have to contact the authorities if I wanted a placement. Does she have any idea what she is talking about and if she does then why didn't she tell me this in our first conversation, our second email, and the third email which came two days after the first one? Thanks for wasting my time and for brushing me off.

Came over in January and was given work immediately. I worked for the London office, most of the schools were in East London. I worked five days a week just about the whole time I was with the agency, with the only exception being one week after a half term. They found me interviews to go to and found me a full time PPA position with a school for the last three months of the school year. The staff are friendly, professional, and always there to help out. I never felt like I was taken advantage off or neglected. The schools were all easy to get to and I enjoyed going back to them. I am extremely happy with the service they provided me.

Timeplan has helped me to find an amazing grammar school! I haven't actually had very much contact with Timeplan after I began work because things were going very well. They do call from time to time to check in and are always there to help. Their biggest help was getting me settled and completing the bulk of the paperwork. It made it quite easy to come over and teach!

I have been working with Timeplan for ten months now, and am thoroughly enjoying it. There is always plenty of work around, and overall most of the schools are great to work in. Through Timeplan I've managed to get a job three days a week in a secondary school, as well as extra supply days to supplement my pay. The staff in the London office are always friendly and willing to give me advice when needed. In particular, Zoe (who used to work there), Philippa, Laura, Nathalie, Devon, Adam, Monique and Nigel are always friendly and have been immensely helpful. I have and will continue to recommend Timeplan to all my friends thinking of coming to teach in the UK. Thanks Timeplan for all the hard work. It's greatly appreciated.

I worked for Timeplan for 2 years and was very impressed by their service. Before I even arrived in the UK, I attended a seminar which provided me with a lot of information and enabled me to find out answers to the questions that I had. When I first signed up with them I was kept up-to-date via e-mail on a regular basis and was assigned a person that looked after me and rang me often (Devon Lovell). They were very efficient in helping me fill out the necessary paperwork and setting up a bank account. I had work every single day that I wanted work - starting with 2 long term positions before finishing with daily supply. I feel that the staff at Timeplan went over an above to ensure that I was happy with the the schools that I was working at. Every few weeks I was visited by someone from the agency to touch base and see how things were going, as well as regular phone calls. They had monthly socials, which was a great way to meet other people. I would definitely recommend Timeplan to other teachers wanting supply work in the UK.

TimePlan was recommended to me by 3 of my friends before I left NZ, so there was no question who I was going to go with. And I'm really glad I did. Within 2 days of arriving, I had an interview with a school and got the job. The job didn't start till the new term, and they busied me up with Supply work in the meantime. Before I left to go home, they offered me an interview with an exclusive independent school. I was very tempted, but by then (after a year of teaching and travelling alot) had decided to make my way home. Defintely recommend.

I worked for TimpePlan Essex and East Anglia. They offer accommodation to be ready for you on arrival, which is great because you are sharing with other teachers. You won’t feel lonely, even if you are moving to the UK by yourself. If you are on a Guaranteed Work Agreement, TimePlan will pay you for 8 days a fortnight, even if they can’t find you the work. It very rarely happens, but it’s nice to know that you might be paid to watch TV or go on the London Eye! Their online timesheets are so handy. My friend from another teaching agency often didn’t get paid on time because she had to rely on the school office ladies to fax hers through. The best thing about TimePlan Essex, are the two very hard working Kiwis in the office. They’ve been there for years and know all the schools and the bus routes to help you find where you’re working. I don’t know how they manage to organise all those teachers. The office wouldn’t run without them.
