They came to Sydney to discuss working and they sounded very friendly at the interviews and when I was in Australia at the time. However, this was not the case once in London. They said they could give us ideas or websites for finding accommodation (they didn't), help us with directions (they didn't) and a few other things. Very little contact or help with them once in London. The pay was very low to start with and took months and months to go up. Even when I was earning my absolute highest with them at about one year in, it was still up to 25 pounds less per day than friends working at other agencies. Yes, per day! There was even a time when we caught them slightly 'altering' our resumes to make us sound like we had had more experience in different areas then we had. This came known to us when a school showed my friend her resume the agency was sending the school. We then all asked them to send us a copy of our resume they had on file. It was not what we had originally sent them. I was bullied and made to feel terrible when they wouldn't help me with my sponsorship visa to stay on in the UK. I asked for help, assistance and interviews for 6 months!!! The agency gets a huge commission when they place you, especially for a sponsorship. It was in their best interest to place me. They only got me interviews because I began talking to other agencies, and even then they were incredibly unprofessional to me and extremely rude that I had decided to search else where. They then told my regular schools I no longer wanted to go to their school anymore, which was absolutely not true! They got me one interview and gave me less than 24 hours notice. They told the school I wanted to do the interview before they even asked me or told me anything about the job. It was 2.5 hours away and in a different year group then I had requested. Overall, this agency was the worst thing about my London experience and I would not recommend them. They make you feel like they are doing you a favour, like you are stuck with them and no one else. This is not true at all. They work for you, not you for them!!!

I supply taught with TimePlan from February to May 2019 and really loved it. The girls in the office made getting my paperwork done easy, and I had work whenever I wanted it at great schools. They were also very understanding and supportive whenever I didn't want to work, whether it was for a holiday or a sick day, and were extremely flexible. I will say that they are maybe a little bit disorganized in the beginning (one of my references continually got emails asking for information he had already given another team member, etc.) but once I got there, the girls were nothing but helpful and felt very on my side. It was great having someone advocate for you and understand your needs as a teacher.

I am currently a supply placement teacher at Thurso High School through Timeplan. As I write this we are approaching the mid-term break. I have settled into Thurso H.S., and am preparing for the second half of the spring term. I even have a few regular classes. There is , in most of the school , A strong sense of collegiality amongst the staff. I have been asked to write a short program to introduce LGBT tolerance within the school community. This will be taught across the whole school during PSE. Hopefully this will well-placed me to be a desirable teacher for placements in the coming academic year (2019-2020) so that I can teach my registered subjects. Thurso is an incredibly beautiful place and the school, although desperately needing more money invested in it (as with many schools, whether in the UK, or Australia) is a pleasant place to teach, and be employed in. I am punctual in filling out my timesheets, and find the pay process is completed in a timely manner.

I was an overseas teacher from Canada who worked a full term in the UK. It was by far one of the best experiences of my life, I wish I could have stayed longer however I needed to get my life started back home. At first I was very skeptical as this would be my first time leaving home however the agency was very supportive and helpful in both the application process and during the transition period. Timeplan Education is an amazing agency, prior to arriving in the UK we were always in contact and any questions or concerns I had they reassured me and aided me in anyway they could. Upon my arrival they contacted to me make sure I arrived safely and set up a meeting to verify my documents and even provided me with a bank letter as I was struggling to set up an account in the UK. I can truthfully say they were very supportive and they checked in every once in a while to make sure things were going well. They also made it clear that I could contact them whenever I needed. Originally I had signed on to a guarantee supply contract but they were able to find me a more stable position as a relief teacher for the term and it was amazing. I am so grateful I got to work for an amazing agency. Timeplan also set up many social events, unfortunately I was unable to attend them but they do make efforts to ensure their overseas teachers are doing well. Overall, it was an experience I will never forget and one that has allowed me to grow not only as a person but as an educator as well. Thank you Timeplan for everything! I highly recommend this agency and if I wasn’t working for a school board here in Canada I would for sure do this again.

Had an awful experience of TimePlan. Got a call from them concerning a short term illness vacancy at one of Londons top schools. They had found my cv and it was my teaching subject. Although I live in the Midlands, and the agency knew this, they wanted to put my name forward to the school. Next day, Friday, I was told that the school wanted me to cover, initially for 2weeks, possibly 4, until Xmas. Got an email from the agency confirming the booking, start day of the following Tuesday, 8am start, with a contact, the Heads PA. Rearranged my plans for the next month, cancelled some local supply I had been offered, and took the train down to London. Luckily, planned to stay with my son initially, with the aim, if necessary, of renting for the rest of the cover period. On the Monday, took 3 hour round trip from south London to their offices in Finchley central to register, verify documents, meet the agency etc. I was actually quite impressed by them. However, on arriving back in south London, I got an email from the agency sent at 6pm that evening, telling me that the school had cancelled the booking, as the HOD at the school had" found a retired teacher she knows"to fill the vacancy instead. Given the lengths to which I had gone to to make myself available , I was extremely angry. My contact at TimePlan insisted that schools often did this, and profusely apologised for the fact that I had had a wasted 300 mile round trip, but I insisted that I would speak to the school to express my feelings. The agency were desperate for me not to do this, so I gave them 24 hours to get the school to contact me. When this never happened, I contacted the school and spoke to the aforementioned contact. She informed me that the school had not found a replacement at all. TimePlan had done this, and they had done it two days before I travelled down to London. The school, I was told, were not aware of the fact that I was coming to London from the Midlands specifically to fill their vacancy. Plainly, when I went into the TimePlan offices on that Monday, they knew that there was no job for me, yet sat in front of me, reminding me of the start time, details of the school day, and confirmation of the fact that I would be working there for a minimum of 2 weeks. Subsequently, I have had no contact from TimePlan, and they have made no attempt to reimburse me for my time and expense of travelling down to London. However, far worse are the lies that they have given to me to try to cover up their deception, blaming the school instead. I won't be using them again.

Best teaching agency ever! The helped me get a job in a great school in a city I wanted. Michael Wood was the one who helped me and answered a lot of my questions - and is still answering :) Dan Hardy (Empowering Learning) was the one who connected the school and me - without him, all of this would not be possible. People who work at TimePlan and Empowering Learning (Jade, Sumana) helped me a lot - with school, accomodation (housing), everything that I needed to get started. I will forever be grateful for the opportunity they had given me. I would recommend them to anybody who wants to teach in the UK - you will receive so much support and help. Nothing will be impossible if you have Michael, Dan and the crew by your side :)

I joined Timeplan Education Group two years ago and I have really enjoyed working with them. They supported me to settle in smoothly and got me into the schools very quickly. Their Recruitment Consultants always check on you to find out if you are comfortable with the school assigned to you. They also offer Continuing Professional Development to update your knowledge, skills and experience in the job. In my opinion, they are the best teaching agency I have ever worked with.

I worked for Timeplan for 1 year and was contract through the school for my second year. Little did I know that all that work means nothing when you want to come back to Canada or maybe even applying to other schools in the U.K. I have moved back to Canada and am trying to get certification to teach here, the two years I taught in the U.K. do not count towards experience for certification or pay scale, because when you come from overseas to teach in the U.K. you are considered a non qualified teacher no matter how many years you have taught previously, no one tells you this until after the fact. So in my eyes I wasted 2 years of my time, money, life working in the UK barely making ends meet, when I could have been gaining actual experience in Canada. Timeplan needs to let new teachers, all teachers from overseas know that they are working as unqualified teachers and that their time in England will not count as actual experience. On another note Timeplan is happy to get you in the country and teaching, but do not provide much support after that. I was visited once by Timeplan to see if things were alright, other than that no contact. As long as they have you in a school and they are making money that is all they care. Before you arrive they seem like they will be great support and someone to turn to when things aren't alright but don't hold your breath on that. I was working with them and registered with the payroll company they wanted and was promised by the payroll company all these incentives and rebates that were not true, never came. Also the payroll company want bankrupt and did not submit to the government that I was no longer paid by them. So the government double taxed me, Timeplan was no help getting that changed even though it was their fault/ the payroll company's fault. If through Timeplan you get contracted through a school don't contribute to a pension plan unless you plan on staying in the U.K. forever, you will lose your money. My thoughts are stay in Canada and supply teach you will be better off in the long run.

I used Timeplan to get a teaching job in the UK while in Canada. Timeplan was very helpful in getting me set up with housing, etc. They were very helpful in the beginning as well. I worked a full year at the same place as 2 of my housemates also from Canada. Despite having to travel 45 minutes each way every day to and from the campus I worked at, and despite having more experience in the classroom, I still made less than the 2 roommates without explanation. Near the end of my contract, I contacted Timeplan to say that I was interested in finding a different position in the UK but did want to stay instead of go back to Canada. They said they were working that week on finding places. I even sent placements I was interested in. They never got back to me. I asked for updates, they never got back to me. So I decided to contact another office. They were helpful at first but quickly lost contact with me, even those who said they had schools interested in interviewing me never got back to me. It's hard to not take it personally as something I may have done wrong. But I'll never know because they don't respond. So I went to Hourglass Education and they got me an interview and a new placement within a week. I wasn't ever asking for people to constantly talk to me. Throughout the year, I don't think I contacted them once except to inform them about work days. But as a foreigner in the UK, I expected some amount of help to avoid homelessness at the end of my contract. They just didn't seem to care. I would go with Hourglass Education if you're looking for a better agency with better pay.

I worked for TimePlan for just over a year and a half in London (I left because I recently got onto the supply list in my hometown). I have no complaints. My experiences prepared me for my interview to get on the supply list back home, so now I am set. I had an amazing travel experience, was in a variety of schools and taught the full range of what they call primary education (elementary here in Ontario). I went to the UK as a junior/intermediate teacher, but have since got my primary qualifications after experiencing what they call key stage 1 in England. I love the little ones. Now primary/junior is where I realized my heart is. I honestly wouldn't have been able to have experienced that much growth both as a teacher and in my understanding of what I wanted as a teacher without my experiences in the UK. Thank you TimePlan

I signed up with Timeplan while I was still in South Africa. I was really nervous about moving to the UK and teaching here as I had heard so many stories from people I knew. I signed up with a few agencies but found Timeplan gave me all the info I needed. I found the move over here challenging and my coordintor at TimePlan really helped me try settle. I started supply teaching with tem and another agency but found I was always working for TimePlan- I liked their schools a lot more. I have now found a long-term job until the end of the school year through TimePlan which has really helped me start to enjoy my time in the UK.
