They will put you in for a day's trial, what they don't tell you is they won't pay you for it so you're working for free. They only contact you via txt message, you have to ring them. You have to ring them each day with your availability. They will not pay AWR regardless of the length you're working at the same school over the 12 week qualifying period, and they'll try to offer you week during the holidays to invalidate your entitlement to AWR. They LIE, a lot, to you and the school! Avoid.

Was recommended this agency by a friend. What a mistake. Paid for a DBS which I never got. Sent for permanent josb when I asked for temporary positions, schools thought I had qualifications I didn't. Got sent to an amazingly exclusive nursery and after months of waiting and hearing that they wanted me, I got the silent treatment and was then messed around later in the year. The schools are nice and the agents are nice people but whatever it is they're doing over there is a pile of rubbish. So disappointed.

Do your research and find another agency to work for. They may well be the biggest in the country, but they are far from the best. The consultants are more concerned with socialising and filling their own wallets rather than yours. The London Bridge office has made me feel like a number, rather than a person. Many of the staff are not personable and barely follow up - increasing pay rates, returning phone calls, checking in to see how your placement is going. Had I not been comfortable in my placement, there is no way I would have stayed with this agency so long. In my opinion, they are unprofessional, not honest and unreliable to say the least. They pride themselves on their ability to create good relationships with both their supply staff and schools but I can say from my personal experience that this is far from the truth.

Although reluctant to sign up with an agency, because in my opinion they get your name on their books and nothing more. How far from the truth was I, Teaching personnel have used the total opposite approach on completion of interview I have been employed in a variety of challenging schools. Although apprehensive at first I settled in well and have enjoyed the employment that they have provided for me. No concerns over pay, weekly wage slips, money in the bank and not having to chase payment. A pleasure to have been employed by teaching personnel, which has lead to me gaining a full time position in one of the schools I attended through them. An excellent agency, keep up the good work. Thank you!

Teaching Personnel got me lots of work but they also repeatedly lied in order to get me to agree to take bookings. Not to be trusted but if you can handle that, lots of work on offer.

I worked for this agency. I would not recommend it as they will rip you off. First they send you to a trial for a day, afterwards they said you weren't suitable and omit the fact you were not paid for a days work. Then give your work to someone else to work for free. So the schools are on a win situation. Then they drive down your pay with agreement with schools to pay you less. This means you lose your holiday pay your entileted too as it's rolled into your pay. And they sell you courses to do but don't pay for your time either. I spoke to a specialist employment solicitor through the CAB. Who recommended I take my case to National Minimum wage unit. Teaching Personnel lied to them and told them they informed me I would be paid. I know that it has happened to other people who work for Teaching Personnel duped into working for free. If everyone who complains to NMW unit about this then legal action can be taken.

Have worked for TP Manchester branch for a number of months and there is regular work and I receive calls almost daily. However, their rate of pay is ridiculous, they advertise £60 a day for a cover supervisor, but they actually won't pay more than £50 and that is ONLY for an entire day. If you were to go in an hour late (as it was a late call), they will knock £10 off so you're left with £40 a day. They then tell you that that is all they can give because the schools are tight on cash. They will try to reduce the £50 rate whenever they can.

Avoid, avoid, avoid! These are leeches who want your money. I have been conned into a position and now paying low rates of pay for extended teaching hours. Do better and apply to other agencies.

I joined this Manchester branch after completing my level 2 TA course. The consultants were very friendly and the initial meeting was good, but the overall service was a complete joke. I only had two days of work, one of which I was never paid for as it was a trial day for a possible long term position, which I was never made aware of. Resigned from them after just 5 months, avoid at all cost.
