Pat Toft and all the team at Teaching Personnel are a friendly, professional lot. They try hard to match you up to the job you require. Special mention to Pat Toft as he is my main person at Teaching Personnel. He has always tried to get me regular, long term placements and I am hoping to be employed at the school where I am currently working. He is always at the end of the telephone if I need any help or advice. He is well-informed of any CPD training that I may be interested in so that I can keep up to speed with the current climate.

There are several reasons as to why I would not recommend this Agency to someone. To start off with firstly; I have been with this agency since February 2018 and they have yet to find me a position, even though I have the required experience and qualifications. (I have previously worked in several schools before). The agency constantly make you go on unpaid trail days and make false information up regarding possible vacancies. Secondly another reason why I would NOT recommend this agency, the staff are very poor with communication. (I am aware that this is agency work and it is normal for the agency to call you at 7am in the morning for a position) HOWEVER with teaching personnel I have found that, they call you up and say theres a position for you at a school, and whilst you're waiting for a confirmation email for more than 30 MINUTES, (having got ready to set off for this 'supply position at xyz school' and you hear nothing back from them regarding that position, and when you call the office after a moment, they put you on hold for a while, and then respond with 'I will get back to you in 2 minutes' BUT you don't hear back from them ALL DAY! Another reason I would not recommend this agency because they falsely advertise for so many vacancies that are available, they email you more times regarding these 'REQUIRED STAFF IMMEDIATELY' emails, more times than they actually contact you for REAL POSITIONS. These are only some of my reasons I feel like the agency is very poor. These are some of my experiences I've faced whilst being with this agency. My advice would be to research thoroughly before going with this agency. Some Improvements Teaching Personnel could definitely make is ensuring that their communication is very clear and concise, when they have possible supply work in a school, and not leave the agency supply staff wondering if they are going to be needed in that school for the day or not.

My experience with TP Manchester so far has been positive, I get work quite regularly - I haven't found a permanent position yet but temporary work has been tiding me over, and the staff at TP are very friendly and helpful, especially Georgia and Sasha :) They seem genuine in their desire to help people find work, and are easy to contact even outside office hours.

AVOID Registered 3 months ago and still no work. Lots of work around they said as its march. Are not honest about your future work prospects and completely over promise and massively under deliver. You have to chase them all the time about possible work they may have. I have not got direct class room experience but this they said was no problem. Only today am i told a more honest picture about needing to break the ice first with mentor type roles before a school will take you on in the classroom. 3 months....£60 of DBS etc costs down and not a single days work. Very Dispiriting. AVOID.

Not only do consultants up and leave often, you get bounced around the different branches, and one will pay you one rate, and the other another rate. There is no communication within and around the London branches, and if you don't get things in writing, they will lie about what they previously offered you. Do not trust the consultants, especially Wimbledon! Yes I got a lot of work, but often they lie to the schools about your qualifications, and the schools are often challenging, but they will not pay you a good rate even for those roles. Such a shame that excellent teachers and teaching assistants leave because of the awful way this agency manages them. As for the days you work for free AKA 'Trial Days' you have to be careful because often the 'trial days' do not look or feel like you are there for a specific role. The London consultants will happily pay themselves bonuses, while they pay you as little as they can get away with. Such a shame.

I recently joined this agency having retired from teaching so did not know what to expect. All the staff I came into contact with when I went for my interview were courteous and highly professional. My recruitment consultant Josh May is approachable, personable and very informative. I believe that he possesses excellent communication skills and is genuinely committed to and enthusiastic about his role in the company. He keeps in regular contact with all the latest, suitable teaching jobs and provides support and relevant information and I am delighted to have been accepted by Teaching Personnel as I know they are looking after my best interests. I can highly recommend this agency. As I have only just been accepted for work I have just completed my first day of supply but Josh has listened and responded to my criteria therefore I am confident that future work will be suitable for my requirements.

The SHEFFIELD team are very friendly and helpful, when I went to sign up they all introduced themselves to me and made me feel very welcome, they were all very professional and talked me through all of the work options available to me with my experience and qualifications. They asked all about me and listened to all of my questions. My DSB check took only 2 weeks to come back and I got a call offering me work within my area in that week! thank you Sheffield team!

More than happy to recommend Teaching Personnel (Hull & Lincolnshire branch)! They're very friendly, supportive & professional, as well as understanding where personal circumstances are concerned. My main consultant is Jim, and I feel genuinely valued. It's also lovely that there is just that little bit of personal touch (e.g. birthday e-mail etc.). The online work diary is super. Pay is fair and arrives promptly without chasing. The registration process is smooth, easy and transparent. The schools they send me to are a pleasure to work in - Jim, Poppy & team are doing a great job in giving me assignments that are perfect matches for my strengths & specialisms. I really appreciate the TP policy, of receiving and forwarding schools' feedback, as well. I'm just enjoying it and looking forward to working more with TP in the future!
