I've worked for this agency for 4 years. It depends which office you work for as to how they treat you. I worked for the Southampton and Bristol branches which notoriously underpay. They will pay you the bare minimum (what they can get away with) you literally have to haggle to get more money. I had some good jobs but compared to other agencies they are not loyal. At the end of the day you are just a source of income for them. I had an issue at one school. The headteacher and a ta were both unprofessional. The headteacher took on a child with extreme behaviour with no care for the teacher who has to deal with an already full class with 3 year groups crammed in. She agreed to take on the child without seeing his papers or checking with the class teacher. Teacher can't cope, so they get agency in (me) to deal with the problem - as no one else wants to put up with his abusive behaviour. The ta in the class I was working lost her ring at school, pretty much accused me of taking it. She was uppity, catty the time I was there. Flirted ridiculously with a male staff member at least 10 years younger than her. It was a clickey little village school. I'd had enough of the behaviour there, so left. I went out of my way to provide detailed handover notes. I sent a card to the boy I was working with as a good bye. A few weeks after sending the card early January the headteacher contacted the agency saying they thought I was returning. I had emailed the head teacher well in advance explaining I would not be returning after the Christmas holidays. So, she clearly knew I was not returning. She was just trying to make me look bad. It all left a bad taste in my mouth. Fast forward a year and I want to register with a different branch of TP. They go to the school to get a reference and the teacher tells the agency I sent an inappropriate card to the boy, a message to the uppity ta (funny they didn't seem to think it was an inappropriate card at the time, still wanted me to return). Interesting how other people think it's fine to act inappropriately and then label others as "inappropriate". The agency sided with the school and I am not able to continue working for them. Thank heavens I'm registered with another agency (that pays a lot better), have an online teaching job. If I'd put all my eggs in the TP basket I'd be in serious hot water. Moral of the story: there are far better, smaller, more moral, integral agencies that care more about you as a person than what money you can make them.

Staff are great. I have worked for them since 2016 always having suitable work in my area. Pay has been excellent and the support I've received. Fast response time to my emails and phone calls. Professional service, unlike many others I've registered with over the years. TP take time to find the placements that use my experience, looking for the long term solution. Jessica Lloyd and Gemma Davies have been outstanding in their support over the past five years. To keep my options open I have registered with other agencies, only to realise how much better TP consultants are.

I have worked for Teaching Personnel in Preston for just over a year. The staff are friendly and helpful and always there to answer questions. I would highly recommend all of them but most especially Jimmy who has been extremely kind, helpful and long suffering in sorting out the numerous problems and queries I have bombarded him with. He is very polite and understanding and has a wonderful sense of humour.

As a primary teacher who has been on supply for five years, I cannot praise Teaching Personnel (Sheffield Branch) highly enough. I have been with them for over a year (and what a year!) They are helpful, caring and professional and they LISTEN! Their online portal is efficient and user-friendly. The placements they have given me have been geographically suitable and in a range of schools. I love the feedback they pass on from schools - it's good to know if the school's view of how it went matches your own. I have been with one supply agency for five years (I feel their service has worsened as they have grown) and have tried a few others but none can compare.

Teaching Personel is the best agency I have joined and worked for. The staff are excellent, friendly and helpful. The training the agency offers is amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed working for them and cannot praise them enough. Working for them renewed my confidence and offered so much more than other agencies. I am extremely grateful for the service they provided and would recommend anyone to register with them. Thank you so much Teaching Personel, both the Yorkshire and Manchester branches.

Yet again I can't fault this agency. They furloughed me last time and are continuing to furlough me unlike my other agencies who have made little contact with me. I will definitely remember this when things return to normal.

Awful staff, very unhelpful and just not interested. Don’t even know who it is they are speaking to and have to ask your postcode to bring your profile up. Basically you are just another number to them.

I’ve worked with Howard for 4 years doing day to day supply and some long term roles. I’ve always been happy and recommend him when friends ask. I have worked with other agencies who don’t listen but Howard doesn’t waste my time with jobs he knows I wouldn’t be interested in.

Was supposed to have a telephone interview for a SEND job today. 1 hour after the time and no phone call, I emailed to say I was not happy they had not rang. My father has dementia so I had to get this afternoon covered to take the call. I got an email back saying sorry they had a problem in the office and did they want to ring me in 5 minutes. Absolutely not! If any agency can't get their act together and be punctual and professional then I do not want to work for them. Period.

Awful agency. Lack of communication, haven’t been very helpful and also don’t pay that well. Also some of the staff are very rude. Send an email and you don’t get a very helpful response most of the time.

I have gained permanant work through Teaching personal for over 10 years. Each of the schools that I have worked in has been a great experience for my professional development. I have gained so much knowledge and skills over the years working with a vast number of children with complex needs and challenging behavior. I have had the experience of working inside London and also outside of London in a small village school in Northamptonshire. Teaching Personnel have been great at tailoring a package to suit my skills, experience, personality and travel location when sending me out for a trail day in a school. The rate of pay is very good and there is always somebody at the end of the phone to answer and queries that I might have. Thanks to Teaching Personnel, I have now secured a position in a lovely primary school with a special needs department attached. I would like to say a big thank you to my recruitment consultant Aysun Yeter
