Rubbish agency...ignore your preferences and cancel contracts at short notice. Phone you on the day for supply so you have little time to get to the school and pay you by the hour so by the time you get to the school you could only be paid for 4 hours as they don't pay breaks. Also they have trial days at a school where you don't get paid for your time and work but you can bet the agency get their booking fee from the school ...so bad

Teaching personnel SEN department have been incredibly well organised, helpful and approachable. They are always willing to support their staff and give them encouragement to provide the highest quality teaching and support to schools around the North East. The company feels more like a family than an organisation and I am happy to be part of their team.

I've just been on the phone with Plymouth branch and had a very disappointing experience. After asking many questions about me, including date of birth and work experience, they said I won't be able to register with them as I didn't teach in the past 6 years. This particular detail was not mentioned on the website nor explained at the beginning of the conversation even though she was fully aware of my work experience from my cv uploaded on the website. In my opinion, that shows lack of professionalism and carelessness towards other people's time. Also, as soon as I mentioned that I was confused as I have QTS and that allows me to teach or at least supply teach with no restrictions, the consultant very rudely started to end the conversation saying she can't help me and no advice or reasonable explanation was given. To me this has left me with a very bad impression about the agency and their way they treat the clients and I think that the time spent filling I the application and on the phone was just time wasted.

I registered with Teaching Personnel (Preston Branch) soon after graduating in 2016. They offered me regular work since then and have provided me with some exciting (and free) CPD opportunities. My consultant is honest and friendly, he has told me upfront when a class was full of strong characters or if there were any known issues with the school. In regards to pay, they are slightly less than I'd like when compared to my other agency, but they get me plenty of work so it isn't a major issue.

Teaching Assistant Level 3 (Current Employee), Durham – 26 July 2019 Since joining I have had continuous work and have made some good connections with Schools I supply in with the added bonus of some requesting me to come back . Teaching Personnel are always there to help and do there up most to find placements for you. You never feel like you are forgotten they work hard for everyone making sure you are working. They help find you full time work by putting you forward for trial days and also do a lot for charities as well as social events to bring people together at the end of the academic term . Love working with them and would recommend them to anyone

I am a trainee teacher and found myself in a position where I had to leave my job to do a teaching placement. Once my placement was over I had another placement to complete in the October so was looking for a “stop gap” job where I could keep myself working in schools to stay in the loop but didn’t want anything too permanent due to my next placement. I can honestly say that joining Teaching Personnel was the best choice I made. I ended up working in one particular school until the summer and loved it. I could pick and choose my hours and did not feel pressured to work on days where I wasn’t available, leaving me more freedom to continue writing my essays and meeting deadlines for uni. Thanks TP!

I have been with Teaching Personnel since Sept 2018 and can honestly say that Ellie Stokes and her team have been amazing. They are always one call away for advice and support, keep in touch with you regarding your progress and are always touching base on how you are feeling and enjoying the position or role. I have always felt valued and never just a number. Best working experience ive encountered yet.

I am delighted with Teaching Personnel. Eli (Elisa Stokes) was helpful and supportive from Day One, keeping me informed each step of the way through the hiring process: which is understandably rigorous. I've been with TP since February 2019, and working steadily since March. Indeed I often turn days down, because i am that little bit disabled and cannot handle f/t work, at least not in a secondary school setting. However, I missed teaching and this provides that outlet for empathy, creativity and listening. I've been on long-term assignment with the same school, which will carry through to the 2019-20 school year, so students can become familiar with me, and me with them. Pay is very good, and prompt. I suggested a friend join TP and she is delighted: says she has never had to worry about her pay showing up: i hadnt realized that was a risk in this business. Another TP team member who was at my regular school is also very happy with TP. Everyone wins: I fulfill my desire to be an active member of my community; kids get a pretty good TA (forgive me but i do okay at this); and TP helps me and helps the schools. From my interactions with Dave at TP, he's an alright guy. Highly recommend signing up with Teaching Personnel.

Teaching Personnel has been amazing since the very start. I was contacted and offered an opportunity to work with them by an extremely polite and lovely person, and the application process (payments etc) were clearly relayed to me from the beginning. They understand and respect that my availability is slightly varied and more part-time than full-time (because I am currently a full-time student) and have still offered various opportunities to work at local schools. I joined TP hoping to build up my experience before diving into a PGCE and that's exactly what they've done. I was even offered a full-time position by a school that was really happy with my performance there! I've always been paid on time and with the correct amount, too. Overall, TP is truly wonderful and an important and fun stepping-stone for people who genuinely want to work with children in the future. I've loved every minute and can't thank the team enough.

I have been with the Hull Secondary branch for 3 years and have enjoyed representing them at many good and outstanding schools. They have been able to secure me both long term placements and day to day work during this period. Jim, Ellie & Bekkie have always been a pleasure to deal with since the day I registered. Teaching Personnel staff in my experience have always been friendly, helpful, honest and reliable.
