Just a waist of time. Staff were kind and professional at the registration process. Then they called me for a couple of jobs that didn't match my enquiry and qualifications. Fortunately I found a school via my personal search. Really disappointed with the Academics Education agency service in Stratford.

Fantastic agency. Registered with quite a few agencies & Academics provided me with lots of work. I was on a long term post and have now got a permanent position with that school. Slightly less pay than some agencies due to umbrella company taking a cut. But the quality and quantity of work makes up for this. They also have great cpd on offer.

I never worked through Academic Appointments in the end. The pay was less than other agencies and you have to use an umbrella company who take a cut. They were not honest about the work they were offering.

Keep calling me and give rubbish info about transport links. The woman whom I spoke with was not able to give me any details about the money offered, however was very keen to calculate me better route there instead. Gosh..... (money must be excellent, if they do not want too speak about it)

Having moved to England for new opportunities, Academic Appointments was a great help! The staff were supportive and friendly and even though the start was slow, I was soon getting more frequent and longer postings that led, within a year to the permanent posting I now enjoy. Would work with them again in the blink of an eye!

They were looking for work for me before my registration was complete! Polite, helpful and one of the best agencies I have worked for (I have worked for quite a few!!)

Since registering and being accepted by Academic Appointments despite being limited in what I can do they have always been friendly, approachable and professional in any dealings. OK so most work is at short notice and flexibility is required. I've had repeat bookings from schools so things must be ok. I would recommend Academic Appointments.

I am registered with 2 agencies, even though Academic Appointments may have a lower rate of pay, the work has been more common. Amount of work has been equal over both agencies. Over recent months I have had more long term posts rather than just day to day supply. They do not put pressure on you if you find a school unsuitable. I have had personal issues lately and have had to reduce my teaching, but they are very understanding and always ask how I'm doing. Work is varied from day to day supply, 1:1 tuition and even exam invigilation if you want it. As with other comments, I'm disappointed in dealing with payroll companies, this seems to have only happened this academic year (when I initially joined payroll was dealt with internally). I have enjoyed dealing with this company.

Signed last September with a couple of agencies. Academic found me regular work in very good schools which were geographically convenient to me. The staff are amazing - real people who genuinely seem to listen to your needs. I have had numerous friendly chats just enquiring how I'm getting on which I find wonderful as this is a rarity in the modern school system. I was rarely asked by a line manager how I was feeling! Pay is slightly less than other agencies but this is almost justified by the quality of the schools you deal with and of course the professional approach from all Academic staff. My only objection is dealing with the eternal payroll company but this is a modern day convenience that most agencies seem to use. Highly recommended

A very friendly and professional agency. Always ready to listen to their agents. Though the pay is not the best rate but I would take this agency over any other one in the region. I would definitely recommend Academic Appointments.

- Worked for them now for 3 years full time - Friendly and professional agency - work has pretty much been continuous - good rates of pay with no pressure to take lower paid jobs - When a school isn't how you thought they move you instantly - compassionate and understanding when personal problems arise. - they liaise with schools regularly when in placements - will keep you busy for as many days as you want - some people leaving low work reviews need to understand that some subjects are more in demand than others and as a science English or maths teacher more work than you can shake a stick at. You will find the same at any agency. - 3 other agencies have tried to get me on their books but academic just keep on getting me work before they get a chance. - we have a part to play in all this too !! As a teacher or cover - be fair be open - be honest - work hard - give notice and the agency a chance to resolve issues. P.s - NO - I am not a recruitment advisor I am an M6 science teacher that literally can't fault these guys

I enjoy being involved with this agency. They pair me up very well with schools I am suited to. The staff are friendly and polite and take a personal interest in their staff and their well being. I have lots of work and feel guilty at times when I have to turn it down. When I do there is no "punishment" or lack of calls afterwards. My only complaint is the way the wages are dealt with by an external company and you are charged a daily rate to have your wages sorted out. Overall I am happy to stay with the company.
