TimePlan Education

| October 18, 2010 | 110 Comments

“TimePlan, the UK’s first ever agency for schools and teachers, was established in 1989. We have been around longer than the rest and have a proven track record. Over the past 19 years we have helped 70,000 teachers find teaching work in 7,000 schools throughout England and Scotland.

We have always prided ourselves on our stringent vetting procedures and our ability to match specific teaching jobs to the skills and specialisms of our individual teachers.

Put simply we ensure that schools have the right teacher in the right place at the right time whilst ensuring that teachers teach the subjects and age groups they are best at – to maximise their own job satisfaction and deliver quality teaching to pupils.”

I would definitely tell anyone considering working with Engage to find another agency. Since day 1, I have had a number of serious issues with this agency. They are unreliable, and unprofessional. Here are a few examples of how they let me down. Upon attending Iday, I was offered a job at a school that I loved. Engage assured me that everything was going according to plan, so I put my apartment up for rent, packed up all my things, arranged accommodation in the UK, bought my plane ticket and quit my job at home. A couple of weeks before I was due to leave, my consultant and the head teacher at the school were ignoring my attempts to contact them. It wasn’t until I got a reply from the school itself saying that they had spoken to Engage and told them weeks previous (by then I had not yet made any preparations towards my move so it wouldn’t have been as bad) that they had given my job to somebody else. Upon speaking to my consultant at Engage, he acted like he had no clue about any of this, but he was lying. The head teacher provided me with proof that my consultant had been told weeks before and had withheld the information from me, for whatever reason. Understandably I was fuming. Upon speaking to the founder of the agency who assured me he would find me something as soon as I arrived in the UK, I decided to give them a second chance. Since my arrival in the UK, it has been one disaster after another. I was offered 2 more opportunities for a stable position, which I accepted. Again, I was not made aware that the positions were given to someone else, until I made my own inquiries!
I have also been called by another teachers name numerous times when speaking to my consultants, and they confused my location with another teachers, which makes me feel like they are not interested in human relations with their employees.
There have been countless issues with pay as well, where I’ve had to chase them.
During my work with them as a supply teacher, they also tell you that they will send you only within a 1h radius of your closest train station, but often they will send you further and tell you that if you don’t go, they have nothing else for you that day and you won’t be paid.
I also was told that they would consider my preferences of year groups and schools, but they never did. They would tell me one thing, and when I’d get to the school they had put me with a year group I had requested not to work with.
They also do not communicate with one another and you find yourself repeating the same information for 5 different consultants who are sitting right next to each other.
On top of all these things, communicating with them was impossible. They only reply when they need something from you. I would ask them questions which they would ignore by text, and then send me another text with their own question.
Also, if you are on SGP, they do not tell you that the weeks before and after half terms are not guaranteed, so you find yourself having loads of weeks in a year that are not guaranteed.
Also, many times, I felt like they were more interested in pleasing the schools than respecting the wishes of their teachers.
These are just a few of the incidents I can think of regarding reasons why I quit and would not recommend Engage to anyone.

I would strongly recommend Timeplan Education teaching Agency. They are really friendly and professional.

I have been working with them more than 6 months! They always have had a school for me, and they offered me long term positions quite often.

I worked for TimePlan for just over a year and a half in London (I left because I recently got onto the supply list in my hometown).

I have no complaints. My experiences prepared me for my interview to get on the supply list back home, so now I am set.

I had an amazing travel experience, was in a variety of schools and taught the full range of what they call primary education (elementary here in Ontario). I went to the UK as a junior/intermediate teacher, but have since got my primary qualifications after experiencing what they call key stage 1 in England. I love the little ones. Now primary/junior is where I realized my heart is.

I honestly wouldn’t have been able to have experienced that much growth both as a teacher and in my understanding of what I wanted as a teacher without my experiences in the UK.

    Thank you TimePlan

I signed up with Timeplan while I was still in South Africa. I was really nervous about moving to the UK and teaching here as I had heard so many stories from people I knew. I signed up with a few agencies but found Timeplan gave me all the info I needed.

I found the move over here challenging and my coordintor at TimePlan
really helped me try settle. I started supply teaching with tem and another agency but found I was always working for TimePlan- I liked their schools a lot more. I have now found a long-term job until the end of the school year through TimePlan which has really helped me start to enjoy my time in the UK.

Registered with a couple of agencies in NZ and although I didn’t first start in the U.K with TimePlan I soon changed over to them. Firstly they were able to organise housing for me with other TimePlan teachers and put me straight on a guaranteed supply scheme. The coordinators that placed me were teachers themselves and unlike the agency I started with would regularly call me to see how things were going.
The housing combined with their teacher socials made me and my housemates feel like they cared about my overseas experience, not just getting me a job.
Finally recent pay rises they have given me due to good feedback schools have given them about me make me feel like a valued and appreciated employee

TimePlan was recommended to me by a close friend and I applied online. They were very professional, understanding and helpful. I found the coordinators in Surrey to be friendly, approachable and caring which made it easier for me to transition from South African schools to UK schools. I have enjoyed working with TP and would recommend everyone I know to apply with them.

TimePlan definitely has the contacts and connections needed to get teachers work in the London area, but I found that they fell very short when it came to communication between me and them, as well as with schools. I also found it difficult to get useful information out of them regarding contracts, and there were some very unfortunate admin errors.
As long as a teacher knows what they are doing and makes sure the agency is working to help them, and not the other way around, they are guaranteed to find work through TimePlan.

At Easter I am coming to the end of a two year teaching experience in Scotland through TimePlan. I have been working in a rather remote school but the support from TimePlan and the local community has been fantastic. TimePlan secured me a long term position for one term in 2015 which was extended for another term (with a pay rise that I didn’t even ask for!). At the end of that TimePlan found me another position for a year. TimePlan guided me through my GTCS registration and helped with accommodation. I felt that they got to know me as a person and as a teacher and matched me so well to the schools I worked in. If you are looking to teach in Scotland in a long term role I would highly recommend them. My visa is coming to an end but TimePlan have offered to find me a permanent teaching job so that I can switch visas and stay. So i’m intending to return to Canada for a few months and then return in the new academic year.

I left my perm job to do some day to day supply work. I called the Essex office to register, they were very efficient and had my file cleared within two weeks. I was interviewed by Amina, she was very polite, professional and honest. I have been working for TimePlan for almost a year now, I have read some previous reviews and it has not been positive however the staffing in TimePlan has changing. When I first joined everyone was new and I have not had a problem at all. They are all friendly, easy to talk to and have treated me well. Maybe the new consultants have made a difference? I would recommend this agency to everyone :)

The biggest mistake I ever did in my life was accept a job offer from these people. They made me move all the way to the U.K with the intention that I had a full time job and when I got there I found out that I was only supplying for maternity cover for 2 days. Imagine the shock I was in when I found out that I had moved from Canada just to get a slap in the face from these people. When I talked to multiple people and even went to them in person they told me there was nothing they could do and even suggested I look into different agencies. Luckily, I ended up working for a much better agency. I was so dissappointed with their false advertising and their lies that I warned all my friends as well as whoever is reading this not to waste your time with these people. They are liars. They waste time. They are unprofessional and are untrustworthy. Hands down this is the worst agency I have come across in the time I spent in the U.K. Don’t trust the south branch in tonbridge they are mostly fake and are mostly pathological liars who only want your money.

I was given a full-time contract with TimePlan at a secondary school, so i can’t complaint about the amount of work I got, as I work everyday for the duration of my contract. When I mean i worked, I mean I worked 12-14hr days, usually without a break or barely anytime to go to the washroom. When I approached David at TimePlan about my work conditions, I was told that there were part of the duties of a teacher. When i enquired about a possible wage increase to compensate for all the hours I was working, David said he would get in touch with the school and enquire. HE LIED. HE NEVER DID. When you average out the amount of hours you are working with your daily rate you’re making WAY less than the national minimum wage. TimePlan sees their teachers as slaves. They really don’t care about you as a human. Their only concern in that you make them money. They charge the schools, ridiculous amounts of money and pay you 1/2 of what they charge the school. You will never be placed close to a school where you live. Expect a commute time of 45mns to an hour on top of your 12hr day. AVOID AVOID AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!

I first started working with TimePlan’s South Team in May last year (2014). Initially, I was seeking 2-3 days per week, casual supply placement, for the remainder of the school year (May-July). The South Team found me local work for every day that I was available. I didn’t then seek work again until the following May (2015), following the birth of our first child. Despite my prolonged unavailability, Time Plan did not hesitate to offer me work again as soon as I became available again. Again, I was not disappointed. Two months ago, I began seeking a more permanent role for next year (January 2016). Within a fortnight, I’d been offered a perfect role at my favourite school. Dreams really can come true…thanks to TimePlan’s South Team! I cannot speak more highly of them, and would genuinely recommend them as your first port of call if you are seeking teaching placement in the South, short or long-term.

N.B: I did not actually complete a day’s work with Timeplan while in the UK.

Before moving to the UK I registered with Timeplan, completing the screening interviews and all documentation. I was promised work when I arrived in the UK, however I found a long term position with another agency and so did not work for Timeplan.

However, I remained in contact with Timeplan via email as I was interested to see what positions they had available for once my long term position ended. This is where I felt Timeplan suffered greatly – there was a huge lack of communication and after weeks of unanswered emails I was told I needed to have another screening interview (a bit inconvenient given I had already done this). I was told then I would have to have a face-to-face interview with a consultant when they were in my area. This never happened. I received no more communication from Timeplan about for 2 months, by which time I had given up on them. I then received a call after New Year asking about my current situation. I told them to forget about it since it had taken so long to hear anything and that I had decided to leave the UK permanently.

I cannot comment on how Timeplan are to work for, but they did offer me a higher daily rate than my current agency, however the complete lack of communication from them was disappointing.

When I first looked into teaching in the UK, I wasn’t sold on the idea. I thought I had a lot of time to figure things out, but TimePlan was so quick! I applied to TimePlan in particular because I knew they were the oldest agency and seemed very reputable. Within a day, they had called me to discuss my application and had me booked for a face to face interview. I was surprised how they gave me so many options and the process moved so quickly. They allowed me to give them specifics of where I wanted to be and what kind of job I was looking for. Within 2 weeks of my application, I had a phone interview with a school and they offered me the job a couple hours later. I was a bit worried, but accepted the job and it was the best experience! TimePlan helped me sort things out at the meet and greet and even took all the new teachers out after. That was amazing since that is where I met the other Canadians at my school and we all became really good friends. As big of a change as it was, I feel like it was an amazing experience and TimePlan definitely helped make things easier by helping me feel comfortable and getting all the fine details (insurance number, bank account etc.) sorted for me. I’m really happy I decided to go with TimePlan and would definitely recommend!

After working in South Korea for a year, I was extremely wary about going abroad again to teach through an agency. In 2011 I finished my B.Ed at Brock and moved to London, England with my partner. My partner started in a long term position in North London while I chose to sign a guaranteed work contract to begin. Both of us struggled in the beginning. That’s natural. We were both newly qualified and were adjusting to a new country and new curriculum. It took awhile to really hit our stride in our positions- but that did NOT make it a lousy experience, nor does that have any bearing on what the agency could do for us. I think that’s what a lot of people forget when they write on this site. The agency is there to communicate with you the opportunities available, discuss whether or not a school was a good fit, and help mediate if something goes wrong. I am reading a lot of negative comments that, honestly, could have been fixed through simple communication and really just show the hotheadedness of some teachers. After a month I completed a short term role at a secondary school in East London covering the Head of English and they requested me back. It was a frightening experience as the students were hard to motivate and overall showed little respect. But I tried, and it paid off. I stayed at that school for the remainder of my youth mobility visa and was actually very upset to leave them. All the students needed was someone to prove that they could stick it out and challenge them. A good teacher tries, despite difficulties. Lousy teachers flee at the first sign of adversity. The agency was straight forward with me, collected my documents seamlessly, and checked in frequently just to ask how things were going- even when I accepted the long term role. Kudos, TimePlan!

    ##BUYER BEWARE## … ##HAZARD AHEAD##…

I have been incredibly disapointed by the lack of professionalism that Timeplan have demonstrated since i moved over from Australia in September this year. They were so willing to get me on their GWS contract, but as soon as i actually arrived in London, the communication soon trickled away & I gradually realised the sham that i had signed up to.
    1. They do not have very many schools on their books, I was repeatedly being sent to schools over 70min from my area of North London.
    2. The staff do not have any respect or concern for their teachers, they are unable to answer simple questions such as, “do you have a list of the schools in my area so i can learn where they are before the school term begins?”
After working with a school for 3 months with no complaints or concerns there was a communication misunderstanding & instead of letting me explain or behaving in a supportive diplomatic way, the agent [] verbally assaulted me via the phone & would not even let me talk. She raised her voice & behaved in the most unprofessional manner I have ever encountered throughout my corporate & teaching career. Not only was my professionalism impugned on in such a viscious manner, I was also threatened by the agency as they knew I was looking to move on as I was fed up of the ridiculous travelmtime. i was told by [] That my name would be shared throughout the local borough to restrict me from teaching- which is actually illegal under the restriction of trade act.
    3. They will find any reason to deduct pay. After receiving a call at 8:50am even though i called in at 7am, i was sent to a school 1.5hrs away. It was for a TA day & i was told my experience with spectrum disorders made me suitable for the role. Not once was I informed I would be receiving a lesser rate and a deduction for not arriving by 8:30am even though that was impossible to do, i also found myself in a room of severely disabled children with which i have no experience and i was so worried i would accidentally injure them as i did not know how to move them in & out of their wheelchairs correctly nor know what to do when they went into fits.
After this distressing day i then learnt that i went through all that travel & emotional upset to only get £60. Instead of my “fixed” daily rate which was double that.

It is hard enough moving to the other side of the world, but to be promised that everything will be ok, there is support and plenty of local work- the reality with Timeplan was that they were more than happy to offend & bully a young woman to the point that I was sobbing in public, without giving me any opportunity to discuss the misunderstanding or to speak to anyone in management in a calm & professional evironment.

I have thankfully moved on to work with a new agency who have been a breath of fresh air & cannot believe how i was treated.

I have been seriously disappointed by my experience working with TimePlan on their GWA contract. As a highly trained secondary teacher I was expecting work in secondary classrooms. The vast majority of daily placements are in primary schools, for which I am only slightly better qualified than any other random adult with a valid criminal record check. Also, if you do happen to work in the GWA contract, throughly document the days of your contract for which you called, but did not receive work. This agency is the most disorganised professional entity I have ever worked with or run across. They do not check their own online booking and availability calendars, they lose important paperwork delaying job comencment, etc. Dreadful. If I had known about RMTA when I first encountered Timeplan I be with a different agency.

2 years ago, before moving to England, I was dealing with Timeplan to try and find a position. Every position they put forward to me was outside of my teaching subjects (For example, I was forwarded a position teaching German even though I do not speak a word of German and am trained as a Humanities/Maths teacher). I never spoke with the same consultant more than once, despite requests to be put through to specific people. When I went back to them for a assistance in securing a new position, it was much of the same problem, and resulted in me being told that “there is nothing we can do to help you.”

I joined this agency 4 months before I arrived in the UK and yet after now being in the UK for a month I still have not worked a single day thanks to Timeplan.

After continually specifying the type of work I wanted (daily supply) The only jobs they have suggested for me were ones I was not qualified for or permanent positions which I will not be in the country long enough to take on.

They now claim that I haven’t completed all the paperwork required to work in the UK, despite them not sending me said paperwork months ago. They do not answer emails I send them and when they do send an email, even that is unprofessional and full of spelling and grammatical errors, which is really promising since they are supposed to be in charge of recruiting good teachers!

Despite my 7 years of teaching experience, they have made me feel like I will never teach in England. I definitely would not have come to the UK to teach if I’d known dealing with this agency was going to be such a nightmare. Moving to a new country is stressful enough, you do not need to be dealing with people like this. My advice – do not go with Timeplan!

My registration process still isn’t finished (they are “contacting references”) and I never heard back! What a joke! I’m here in London on a tight budget.. Good thing I’m dealing with other agencies, otherwise I’d be really screwed and pissed off.

Will add more in the future should things not change (re: specifics as to what happened)

Rate of pay is lowest I’ve seen!

Thank god for this site and good on those who are doing their research!!

When I moved to London I was worried and apprehensive about whether I would get work, whether I would be able to find a home and whether I would be able to afford to travel. Timeplan supplied me with work at the best schools I could hope for, moved me into a lovely house with great people, were flexible and welcoming when it came to my travel arrangements and were always pleasant and accommodating whenever I spoke to them/saw them. I couldn’t have asked for better.

I had the pleasure of working for the Timeplan London area and thoroughly enjoyed my time doing so. I had constant work and soon after was offered a long term position. All the members of staff at the London office were friendly and easy to talk to. They were available to answer questions, and were helpful with ensuring that I had directions to get to a school for daily supply work.

The schools were fantastic to work in, with a range of year groups on offer to teach.

I would happily consider working with Timeplan again in the future!

I would definitely recommend Timeplan Teaching Agency to anyone considering supply or cover teaching.

I am an Aussie teacher moving to London in January. While still in Australia, I have been been in contact with TimePlan. From the beginning I have had the pleasure of talking, emailing and skyping with Nicholas Miller who has been both professional and friendly in his dealings with me. He continues to follow up any questions that I may have and has made me feel very comfortable in any decisions I have made or need to make.
I am so looking forward to arriving in London and meeting Nick and his colleagues to begin my journey as a teacher in the UK.

My decision to work abroad is one that I will never regret. Throughout the early stages of this venture, I was in constant contact with the TimePlan representatives in Southern Ontario who provided me with every tiny facet of detail to the consistent questions I had. TimePlan was able to set up my interview in downtown Toronto, and were very supportive after I was offered the position that I currently have. Filling out the required paperwork was hassle-free, and I cannot thank those at TimePlan Canada who were able to quickly line up an interview that would eventually start my career.

The TimePlan Essex office continued with the consistency of the office back home. Great, trustworthy representatives whose duty is to help ease your transition into a new country and new way of life. The accommodation is absolutely remarkable, as the house I live in was fully furnished and supplied with modern appliances and the like. The location is great as well, as I am a 2 minute walk to the train station, which helps me get to work every morning in just about 20 minutes. They city of London is also a short train ride away as well. I hope to take in at least half of what the city has to offer during my time here.

I am currently in a full time role, teaching Year 10, 12, and 13 Business Studies, as well as Year 9 ICT. The students have been a pleasure to teach these first 7 weeks, and I am supported by a phenomenal staff who are there to help me every step of the way. It was difficult familiarizing myself at first with a new curriculum and grading system, so it has been a learning experience as well. I fully understood this would not be a simple transition, but challenges are what will make me a better educator in the future.

Of course, I do miss family and friends back home. Leaving behind those who have witnessed not only your physical growth throughout the years, but also have been witnesses to my journey of becoming a teacher, was a difficult choice. However, that sacrifice ultimately set the foundation for myself to begin the career I was meant to have. The weeks do tend to go by faster then you think, and I am counting the days until I fly back home for Christmas break.

Again, this was only made possible thanks to the selfless and invaluable support from all of those at TimePlan.

I remember researching about timeplan on this site before deciding to move country and accept a job with them. This job was supposed to run until next July but I was let go with no notice so I wished I had of realised that there are a lot of bad reviews on here which says it all. One comment I particularly agreed with is that when there is any trouble they will not be on your side at all they will side with the school because they want their future business!! Timeplan are very friendly and I’m sure their intentions are very good and they are very organised but I am now in a bad situation away from home, most of the fault lies with the school but Timeplan are to blame also because they rushed me in at the start (which included me paying a LOT of money for a flight for interview) and they kept brushing my many worries aside which all ended up to be legitimate worries considering what happened in the end!…lets just say there was some trouble with ofsted, nothing to do with me as a teacher. They never provided me with a contract of employment either. They don’t help with the cost of anything such as flights and trains which most other agencies do…’Engage’ paid for flights to and from London and a hotel for a week for about 60 of us from all across the globe! They also don’t help you to find accommodation, you are very much in your own with them. On the other hand the pay was good or average for supply and was always in on time and they are very apologetic for what happened.

I spoke with a recruiter in the canadian office who gave me information for teaching in Scotland for January. I was told to contact her at the end of summer to “get going on the paper work” when I did, she went from saying in one email that there were no supply teaching jobs in Scotland and only minimal, regular positions and that I should contact her if I wanted to get going on that. Then in her second email, she said that they don’ t recruit for Scotland and that I’de have to contact the authorities if I wanted a placement. Does she have any idea what she is talking about and if she does then why didn’t she tell me this in our first conversation, our second email, and the third email which came two days after the first one? Thanks for wasting my time and for brushing me off.

Came over in January and was given work immediately. I worked for the London office, most of the schools were in East London. I worked five days a week just about the whole time I was with the agency, with the only exception being one week after a half term. They found me interviews to go to and found me a full time PPA position with a school for the last three months of the school year. The staff are friendly, professional, and always there to help out. I never felt like I was taken advantage off or neglected. The schools were all easy to get to and I enjoyed going back to them. I am extremely happy with the service they provided me.

I have been working with Timeplan for ten months now, and am thoroughly enjoying it. There is always plenty of work around, and overall most of the schools are great to work in. Through Timeplan I’ve managed to get a job three days a week in a secondary school, as well as extra supply days to supplement my pay. The staff in the London office are always friendly and willing to give me advice when needed. In particular, Zoe (who used to work there), Philippa, Laura, Nathalie, Devon, Adam, Monique and Nigel are always friendly and have been immensely helpful. I have and will continue to recommend Timeplan to all my friends thinking of coming to teach in the UK. Thanks Timeplan for all the hard work. It’s greatly appreciated.

I worked for Timeplan for 2 years and was very impressed by their service. Before I even arrived in the UK, I attended a seminar which provided me with a lot of information and enabled me to find out answers to the questions that I had. When I first signed up with them I was kept up-to-date via e-mail on a regular basis and was assigned a person that looked after me and rang me often (Devon Lovell). They were very efficient in helping me fill out the necessary paperwork and setting up a bank account. I had work every single day that I wanted work – starting with 2 long term positions before finishing with daily supply. I feel that the staff at Timeplan went over an above to ensure that I was happy with the the schools that I was working at. Every few weeks I was visited by someone from the agency to touch base and see how things were going, as well as regular phone calls. They had monthly socials, which was a great way to meet other people. I would definitely recommend Timeplan to other teachers wanting supply work in the UK.

TimePlan was recommended to me by 3 of my friends before I left NZ, so there was no question who I was going to go with. And I’m really glad I did. Within 2 days of arriving, I had an interview with a school and got the job. The job didn’t start till the new term, and they busied me up with Supply work in the meantime. Before I left to go home, they offered me an interview with an exclusive independent school. I was very tempted, but by then (after a year of teaching and travelling alot) had decided to make my way home. Defintely recommend.

I worked for TimpePlan Essex and East Anglia. They offer accommodation to be ready for you on arrival, which is great because you are sharing with other teachers. You won’t feel lonely, even if you are moving to the UK by yourself.
If you are on a Guaranteed Work Agreement, TimePlan will pay you for 8 days a fortnight, even if they can’t find you the work. It very rarely happens, but it’s nice to know that you might be paid to watch TV or go on the London Eye!
Their online timesheets are so handy. My friend from another teaching agency often didn’t get paid on time because she had to rely on the school office ladies to fax hers through.
The best thing about TimePlan Essex, are the two very hard working Kiwis in the office. They’ve been there for years and know all the schools and the bus routes to help you find where you’re working. I don’t know how they manage to organise all those teachers. The office wouldn’t run without them.

I think people need to realize that teaching in the UK, especially London, is very challenging. I’ve read a variety of teachers’ opinions about Timeplan. Clearly no agency is perfect, but in my experience Timeplan actually treated me like a person, not a number. I can’t say I had the same experience with other agencies. I think you need to keep an open mind when looking for the agency that suits you. Just because one person had a negative experience with them doesn’t make them an all around horrible agency. I think Timeplan tries its best to take care of its teachers and balance their skills and needs with their schools. I had a wonderful experience with them and am confident that others can do the same.

The majority of my teaching experience in the UK was through Timeplan. They got my completely set up before heading over and tried to ease me into life in the UK. We attended orientation our first week in London and were introduced to other Canadians (some of which became my close friends). In addition, Timeplan hosted monthly socials to introduce other teachers to each other. This definitely provided me with a support system of friends in London!

While I was doing daily supply, agents were always able to help guide me if I got lost looking for a school. They would normally give me a “heads up” if the school I was going into was a rough one. Having said that, many of the schools I worked at with Timeplan were in East London which is typically known for being a bit more difficult to teach in. There definitely were some tough days, but to me it was an incredible learning experience.

During months that it was more difficult to get supply work, Timeplan was the only agency sending me out to schools. Their agents were very competent and most were a pleasure to get to know over my two years there.

I worked for the Timeplan Surrey office, they have been fantastic. I had a telephone interview whilst in Canada and came over on their guaranteed work program. I started off occasional teaching which helped me get used to the way things are over here and when I was ready they found me a great LTO. I know that myself as other Canadian friends that came over were worried about the behaviour of students, but I found it no worse than teaching in Toronto. The office was always there to support me so I didn’t feel like I was on my own.

I’m shocked at how bad this agency is. Since registering for work I have only been called once, and that was to check my general availability. I have given up calling the agency to see if there is any work because, after months of calling them, they haven’t managed to find me even a half day. Having spent so much on a criminal background check, and the travel cost of getting to Tonbridge for the interview, to say that I am bitterly disappointed to be so out of pocket is an understatement.

Thankfully I have secured work through another agency, but Timeplan are unprofessional in my opinion.

I have to say I have had a really hard time with Timeplan HBB office. I was brought over for a full time position which was meant to start, then it got delayed a few months but I did a guarantee supply contract. Which i never received. Finally the job fell through all together and i got put on a reduced guarantee which. Which I was NEVER paid on. Every pay check there was an excuse as to why I wasn’t being paid my full amount. In a 3 week period I was paid for 3 days of work. I was treated unfairly and was told that it was my fault that I wasn’t working. I was marked as available every day and only once did they ever call me and ask if i could work and then they never followed it up. all in all a bad experience. I have just enough money for a flight home and thats about it.

TimePlan Education is the only company I would head over to the UK with. As a Canadian moving to a new country I had so many questions and concerns with regards to paperwork, the big move and making ends meet. The offices in Canada and in the UK were more than helpful with all of these things and when I found myself in the UK I worked on a guaranteed supply contract happily for 1 year, twice. People who are not proactive and can’t answer their phone are not made for this, but if you really want to work and are going to the UK to teach, they will work hard for you and make it worth your while.

Like many I registered with the Agency on the strength of the promises made re finding me work.

The good thing about TP is they reimburse you the cost of your CRB. The bad thing is that they only reimburse you AFTER you have done some work through them. After 8 months I am still waiting for them to secure me a day’s supply.

I spent the first month after my CRB arrived getting up at dawn in order to be ready should TP call with a day’s supply. I suppose it is a reflection of the market that I never got a call. But I am disappointed that since September my details have only been sent to 2 schools, and the most contact I have had is (a) to find out at the end of term if I am still available for work; and (b) to invite me to a social evening.

My advice to anyone would be to register with more than one agency at the same time. That way if one is a bit hopeless, you won’t have wasted time finding out how hopeless as the other agency will hopefully be getting you out.

So on the plus side, TP is friendly and seems professional. On the down side, they don’t contact you and don’t find you work. At least that is my experience.

Just felt I had to respond to the previous post, which I suspect was written by a current Timeplan employee. I am a UK teacher with years of successful teaching in a variety of subjects. Since I registered with Timeplan last year I have not received even one day’s work, despite the agency getting me to pay for a CRB on the basis of a school wanting me for a free trail day, which they then cancelled

Please DON’T use Timeplan. THere are plenty of other agencies. Save your time and money, and use one of the others instead.

BTW I have also worked in teaching recruitment and recognise exceptionally poor service when I am on the receiving end of it.

A truly atrocious agency, with dishonest and unprofessional staff.

I am shocked at the reviews of this agency as I had experience working with them for almost two years and started my registration before arriving in the UK. The bad reviews all seem to be coming from angry ex employees and teachers who obviously didn’t excel in the UK and are now blaming it on the agency. Timeplan is a large agency yes- but they have been around for ages and really were the best I dealt with. I have friends that used them back in the early 90s and they were the ones that passed them onto me. Please don’t let the negative reviews from angry ex employees of the company sway your view on this agency as they are quite good. They work with a lot of good schools from my experience and their pay may be a little lower than other agencies offer but when you get full time work at a lower pay compared to part time work at a higher rate – it makes sense! Please if you have any questions about agencies or teaching in the UK do not believe the reviews on this site.. So many reviews are written by the agencies themselves or ex – employees and it is just unfortunate to see as it does not really give you a proper view of what it is really like. I am more than happy to talk to any teacher about my experience and UK agencies and I would suggest that you talk to people instead of reading electronic reviews as they just really don’t seem justified. Comment on this post if you would like to chat about anything I would be more than happy to give you more realistic answers about teaching in the UK and the great opportunities that came about for me after doing so.

In my opinion the Tonbridge office is unprofessional and deceitful.

I had an interview with them last October and on the strength of having a school that wanted me to go in on a free half day, they convinced me to pay for a new CRB. The school cancelled the day before and I have not had any interviews since.

They called once but in terms of finding me any work, have not been in the least proactive. In fact I have had more contact from them inviting me to their social events where ‘the first drink is free’. I just want them to reimburse me the cost of my CRB actually.

With respect to the glowing reports above, given the quantity of negative reviews, which all list similar experiences, I am more inclined to believe those than ridiculously positive ones that look like they have been written by Timeplan staff.

Having worked in one of TP’s UK offices I can understand where a number of these comments are coming from. TP has been grossly mismanaged for quite some time now and their office structure, where each office operates independently and in some cases in competition, the focus has shifted from “teacher welfare” to making money. It’s a case of “ship em in ship em out”. Placements go wrong because “managers” want to make as many placements as they can because placements equal money and contrary to what they say, TP managers are “on commission”. Come on TP, you used to be good…..but quite frankly you are s**t. Teaching Personnel in the 1990s and early 2000s spring to mind!

If you are thinking about coming to teach in the UK and working for timeplan… a word of advice. DON’T !!! Just don’t do it. It may seem like a pretty picture is painted for you in the eyes and words of the agent but they are scam artists! They take advantage of the teachers they ’employ’ and they are completely unprofessional in doing so. Stay away!
Rather than going through an agency at all, just go through the TES website and just get a job straight through the school. It makes no sense having an agency make money off you. If you are a good teacher and legitimately can get work on your own (ie. have a brain in your head) don’t play into this ridiculous game of teaching agencies. Think about it- no other country uses agencies that employ you after they recruit a position for you at a school. Sure, they should get you in touch with the school, but surely they should not be the ones that you work for. You should be working for the SCHOOL, not the people who sit behind their desks at an office that is 50 miles down the road.
I urge you to get a job on your own, without an agency, if at all possible.
I won’t go into the full details of what happened to me or the other people I know that work for timeplan because I try to be professional, unlike some agencies.
Just be very careful that if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Check into the school’s OFSTED results and make sure it is a school you are capable and comfortable working in. Schools are sometimes labeled as “successful and academic” when in fact, they have unsatisfactory ratings and are poorly run by admin. Don’t let the agency fool you!!!

    Good luck to you.

After working in one school for many years, I decided it was time for a change. The first few agencies were absolute shocking and was even put of teaching. Then a colleague recommended TimePlan, weary at first I decided to go to interview and was truly impressed from the first moment the interviewer explained everything clear and precise. I went away with every confidence that my agent would find work, which they did a few days supply at first, then a full time position which I wasn’t happy in at first and my agent and her manager found me somewhere new instantly which I was delighted at. TimePlan Kent has given me back my confidence in teaching again. I would recommend them to anyone wanting a professional and reliable service.

I really don’t understand the previous listing as this can’t be further from the truth. The “agent” that the previous comment refers to is my regularly port of call. I have found her to be very professional, personable, attentative and most importantly actively pursuing employment opportunities in my field of Secondary ICT (I had 5 schools in Kent wanting to offer me employment within a day of being interviewed).

Shocking. The Tonbridge office is specifically awful. I interviewed looking for work in Kent and my initial agent was absolutely brilliant. I was interviewed promptly and thoroughly by [name] and was made to feel calm and relaxed and I got accepted – great news! I was in contact with my agent nearly every day and she found me interviews easily and kept me in the loop. I’ve now discovered she has left the business and I’m now being left in the dark and not given any work. I’m a MATHS teacher and they have little to no interest. I have had one call in 6 weeks from a rude woman who deals with the Brighton side of things and I never want to deal with TimePlan ever again now my agent is no longer present there. It’s like the voice of TimePlan is gone. Poor agency and even worse agents now!

I worked for Timeplan for a long time and would discourage others from doing the same. I started off on the guaranteed supply scheme which was good because I had work every day, but in a term’s time, I only actually taught about 5 days because I was always working as a TA or at a day care centre feeding and cleaning babies. I very rarely was ever placed in my part of London, event though Timeplan has schools within walking distance of my house. I travelled upwards of an hour every day, sometimes on the overground way into the east end. They say ‘max 60 mins” but that does not include walking to and from the tube and wait-times. As soon as my guaranteed work ended, I received a call to work for a day as a teacher in a school in my area- GREAT! When I arrived, I found out that I was actually TAing even though they told me it was teaching, so I got paid as a TA (which was almost half). In addition, I was once sent to a school that didn’t request a teacher that day and never received an apology from Timeplan (how embarrassing). Many of my friends have had much better experiences with other agencies. Don’t work for Timeplan. They lie and they do not value you. I think all teaching agencies are varying levels of terrible, but at least work for one that pays you well, because you won’t believe the frustration you feel when you are working 14 hour days as a classroom teacher for Timeplan just to find out that your friend is doing daily supply for WAY more than you are making.

Timeplan in Tonbridge is absolutely shocking. For starters, they have not organised a social event (as promised) because the ‘big’ boss is off, galavanting across Australia recruiting staff for the following year. Excuse me, you currently have overseas teachers already in the UK seeking full-time employment, what is the need to travel to Australia and recruit more! I have made sure that the word gets around, do not use Timeplan!

Furthermore, my agent was the most unprofessional worker. She failed to post my CRB and GTCE registration, and 2 months later I found out. She no longer works there, suprise, suprise!

In general, teaching agencies are a money making scam, with unqualified ‘professionals’ with no/little educational experience, sitting on their asses promising work, and consistently telling lies in order to hang onto us. At the end of the day, teachers are losing out, as agencies and schools are squeezing every penny out of us, and paying us at a shockingly low rate. Timeplan = Timescam

I’m not impressed by TimePlan. I signed up with them as an ICT teacher in January and was immediately accepted onto the books after my references came back. A gentleman interviewed me and sung my praises. However when it came down to it all the promises were empty! They couldnt get me a job and I forever heard the words ‘we are waiting for schools to come back to us’ – which was a load of rubbish in the end. I never got a call into a school. Luckily enough another agency in Tunbridge Wells placed me for a position starting November 2011. I know of the schools on the Kent books but I don’t feel that I had the support I could have had. The pay rates were low and the people in the office were very dismissive

To be honest, I have not had a single day of work from TimePlan so I cannot comment. I wouldn’t recommend your agency to anyone, in fact I’d highly discourage them from using it. I moved here in September and was told there would be work, not a single day of work yet.

I sent my references to Timeplan in January, then again in August because they were misplaced by Timeplan. I then had to redo all of the paperwork which was already done twice back in Jan and March.

I am now hearing that Timeplan has not heard back from my references? I’ve contacted said referees and confirmed with them that they would be contacted to which they have informed me that they would be available. In addition to this, references that were not listed on my reference list were contacted, I received an email from a school principal from whom I barely even know and he asked me if “this agency was legit, I received a odd email asking about your teaching and I’ve never observed you teaching”, as you can understand it is EXTREMELY unprofessional and embarrassing on my part to have a school principal contacted that I do not even know. It could negatively effect my reputation as a teacher in Kingston as it is proper etiquette to give notice and permission if I would like to use someone as a reference. Timeplan over stepped the bounds by contacting someone without my permission. I’ve decided to use another agency, and they had no problems at all contacting my references, in fact it took them less than a week as opposed to TimePlans 9 months.

Timeplan has wasted hours upon hours of my time since initial contact in January, I would highly recommend being upfront and honest with candidates realistically informing them of expected work. Working with timeplan makes me question the organization and honesty of your company. Please take me off of your mailing list, it’s insulting to get emails asking about work when I haven’t had a single day. I plan to inform as many teachers as possible of these circumstances in hopes that they don’t get there hopes up about work in the UK with agency by the name of TimePlan

I couldn’t have worked for a better agency. I had signed up to many agencies but Timeplan was the only agency that really worked hard to find me a teaching position. Afterwards they kept in touch with me and the school I was working at. They were always very helpful and answered all my enquiries promptly. I found the people at Timeplan very professional, efficient and organised.

There are many teachers at the school that I work at that have been placed there by Timeplan. All of these teachers speak highly of Timeplan and have been very impressed with them.

I have now got a permanent position at the school I was placed at by Timeplan. A big thank you to all at TimePlan!

TimePlan are by far the best teaching agency I have worked for. They are incredibly supportive, extremely professional and 100% honest as regards the schools they deal with. The Kent office in particular are AMAZING. All the staff in the Kent office are friendly and helpful. They really go the extra mile to help teachers find jobs and to settle into the U.K. as best as possible. Paul Chuter in particular has an adept ability at matching the right teachers to the right schools, in addition, he goes above and beyond the call of duty to secure teachers jobs, to help them with their transition from overseas to the U.K. and if a problem arises you can definitely rely on him to get it sorted. I would recommend TimePlan to any teacher thinking of coming to the U.K. for work. Personally I would never bother dealing with any other teaching agency ever again. TimePlan Rock!!!!! A special thank you to the staff in the Kent office who have helped me to have a FABULOUS time here in the U.K.

TimePlan is HORRIBLE or at least the agent/ office I specifically dealt with is! (Kent office- [Name Removed])

I received two job offers that both ‘fell through’. They are very misleading and misguiding. I had a job confirmed for three weeks (in the meantime I booked my flight and visa) and then I didn’t hear from them in a while… I contacted the school to introduce myself as their new teacher and found out the position was never mine nor confirmed!!! I received a nasty e-mail from [Name Removed] and at that point I explained I do not feel comfortable with him or his agency.

I hope no other person will experience this- be very cautious with this agency!

Recommendation: interview with many agencies- luckily I still have work for September!!

TimePlan is a brilliant agency to work for! I have found all of the staff members to be extremely welcoming, professional and supportive. Prior to my arrival in the UK, they made me fully aware of what documents I needed to bring with me and I was able to commence teaching within days of arriving in London. I had no problems finding enough work as the staff regularly called me each day to offer me daily supply. They were also very responsive to feedback and regularly offered me work at the schools that I really enjoyed visiting. That is how I ended up working in a long term position at my favourite school for a year and a half. I really cannot say enough good things about the agency, particularly about Jen at the London office. She really went above and beyond securing my position at my favourite school. You would be crazy to sign up with a different agency!

I am absolutely alarmed by some of the comments on here. I came from overseas (Canada) with TimePlan, they were completed honest about my qualifications and the work I would expect to get. They never made empty promises but were honest and supportive. They gave me a realistic opinion about what SW London was like and the differences from my home country.

The SW London office that I worked for were friendly, encouraging – The ladies in the office even spent time on the phone walking me to the school when I got myself lost! When I was supply teaching I always got a call in the evening to see how my day went. They were 100% honest about the schools that I went to, the good and the bad, preparing me for my day.

After settling in and finding my feet with supply, UK system and grades, they secured me a great long term post in an independent school – I can’t believe my luck! Best off all office staff feels like friends and regularly check in to see how my position is going and visit bringing doughnuts to the school! Yum!

I couldn’t say anything more positive about the experience I have had with this company and the people I have dealt with.

This agency is by far the worst that I have worked with during my two year stay in the UK. I hate to mention the fact that they placed majority of overseas teachers in ‘special measures’ schools. Please, if you want a positive experience in the UK, do not choose Timeplan. They are exceptionally good at promoting their company while I was in Canada but once I arrived in the UK, they really disappointed me. It took until December before they even bothered to contact me to see how I was doing, 4 months after orientation date. They do not care about their teachers, do not listen to their lies! The 5 other teachers that I met during orientation all quit within the first several months due to similar horrendous experiences.

i am currently working for timeplan in east London. They promised and offered so much prior to my move over. However i was very much do let down from day one, hers why:

The promised taxi did not meet me at the airport…nor did TP answer their mobile phone (it was the weekend so the office was closed)

The position i work as in the school, was not the position i was told i would have. TP deceived me, and refused to give me a teaching timetable before i arrived, explaining that the school hadn’t finalised it! (later i found out that the timetable was finalised and TP were simply with holding it!)

the office lost some of my important paperwork…and wouldn’t even admit
    it.

Tp promised bonuses for teachers who stay longer than a year…im still waiting for mine…and i aint holding my breath!

i rented a house from TP at first…it was a complete sham, we have had so much trouble with the house and TP were very difficult to deal with, to the point that they were unhelpful and deceitful.

TP are very difficult to deal with when your over here, but great to get a part-time job set up. id recommend coming to teach in England (if ya got the travel bug like me!) but do ask particular questions before you stop looking at other options.

Try to separate the fake promises from the truth and even get in contact with the school if you have been offered a preeminent position in one school.

Peace out and enjoy being young!

The quality of service from this agency is absolutely appalling and I have no ides how this chop-shop is still in business. The ethical conduct of this company is nothing short of socking, and the deception the employ to real in teacher candidates is grotesque.

Timeplan here’s a little piece of advice: When you are trying to recruit honest quality teachers to travel overseas and leave their family and friends, it only seems fair that you are honest with them. This means being realistic and setting honest expectations as to when their police check will arrive and they will be out working. This doesnt mean throwing out a random timeline like “6 weeks”, just because it sounds good. Newsflash [removed]….ppl are paying rent and trying to make ends meet in a very expensive city. Having them sit their unemployed is NOT ETHICAL!!!

    AND SECONDLY:

Having worked in the recruitment industry here is another little tid-bit for the degenerates working there: It is your job to prep your candidates and let them know about the workplace. Sending them in with no prior information in regards to school conduct or policies is just lazy and ABSURD!!

TIMEPLAN YOU SUCK!!! I’m glad you’re making money cause you get an “F” in the area of ETHICS!

At least these people were honest by saying that they had more teachers on their books they could find work for, advising me not to bother.

I work for the TimePlan Southampton office. They have fantastic staff that take the time to listen to your needs and place you carefully in schools that match your preferences. They are all really knowledgeable and are qualified teachers themselves, which is great as they know the education system and you can talk to them about your day and seek advice if necessary. The registration process was easy and they were very thorough with their checks as well as informative. The volume of work has been great and they are in contact with many schools in the area, hence I have been kept very busy. Their rate of pay is excellent too, unlike some other agencies that will advertise one rate and then will give you a considerably lower rate when you register with them! As they are a non-commission based agency, I never feel pressured into taking a booking if I don’t want it, nor will they ‘black list’ me if I turn down work or do not instantly return their call. I also like the way that I can drop by at any time and they will always make me feel welcome – they’ll put the kettle on and will always take the time to sit with me for a chat, let me photocopy resources or allow me to use their internet facilities for work. I have been so impressed that I have referred a couple of my teaching friends to them and I am pleased to say that they have also had the same excellent experience. I have even earned extra money this way through their Refer-A-Friend scheme! They also have great socials where you get the opportunity to meet fellow TimePlan teachers and to let your hair down with like-minded professionals! I will certainly keep recommending this agency to all my friends and colleagues – keep up the great work TimePlan!

When I arrived in the UK two years ago, I registered with several agencies for supply teaching work. I was immediately impressed by the difference with TimePlan. The coordinators seemed to genuinely want to know me and they took the time to find out about me and what I was after. They were so helpful with getting me settled and regularly checked in on me to see how I was getting on. The schools I’ve worked in for TimePlan have been great and everyone has been incredibly supportive and knowledgeable. My TimePlan coordinator has worked in London as a teacher, so I know she understands what I’m going through. Initially I was nervous about teaching in London, but TimePlan have made the experience an amazing one!

I have to say that I have been nothing but impressed with Timeplan since the first day I started working for them. Being a British trained teacher I was a little worried about working through an agency but I have been with timeplan for almost 2 years in which I started off on supply and am currently teaching in a long term post. I have dealt mainly with the Surrey office but have had good dealings with the London office too. Timeplans schools were always great, unlike some of the ‘tough’ schools I taught at through another agency! My school now is exactly what I was looking for. The girls in the office seem to genuinely care about me and I still get calls now from them just checking how I’m getting on. Overall, they are a top agency that I would recommend to anyone.

Since I was in Canada and pondered about working as a teacher in London, Timeplan has been there every step of the way supporting my desired venture into unchartered territory . Working for Timeplan in London not only provided me with a consistent income (because I regularly had work lined up for me) but it also gave me a chance to travel and explore some of the more beautiful parts of Europe. I am also greatly thankful that Timeplan eventually also helped me in finding a more permanent teaching job in London with a wonderful school. Talk about matchmaking! Thank you Timeplan! If you are an overseas teacher thinking about taking the leap, and are ready to have the journey of a lifetime, I highly recommend taking your first step forward with Timeplan!

Having had some ‘questionable’ experiences with other agencies, I approached TimePlan with a certain amount of trepidation. However, I needn’t have worried-I worked mainly through the Surrey branch office and found everybody friendly and helpful. TimePlan employs teachers who have actually taught in the UK, so it was great that they could give me an honest picture of the Supply ‘scene’ as well as advice on all sorts of things, such as good areas to live, current Education practices, information on schools’ expectations and also booking confirmations emailed directly to me, with detailed travel directions! Paperwork was clearly sorted out and any issues were immediately resolved. Compared to my other experiences with some of the bigger agencies, I felt TimePlan actually understood what I was looking for and knew who I was! They helped me gain the experiences which have lead to my current long-term placement in the Wimbledon area. I would recommend TimePlan to any teacher who is looking for a supportive, honest and, frankly, nurturing agency to help them when supply teaching.

I had the best experience teaching with Timeplan! Great schools, friendly staff, fun socials (with a free drink!)and free training & advice. Also, I got extra money with the refer a friend scheme! Offices are open until 7pm so there is always someone to speak to you when you phone. Definitely rate Timeplan as one of the best!

I’m a newly qualified teacher from Canada who’s been in England for just under two years.

Time Plan has been nothing but good to me since the first email I sent from Canada, in which I requested more info about coming to the UK. They responded to my email quite quickly and flooded me with information about coming to work in the UK. After living in Birmingham for just under two years I can look back and honestly say that everything I was told by the Time Plan representatives regarding teaching in the UK was all true. I have had a blast!

Specifically regarding the Birmingham office of Time Plan, which is all I can really speak about since I’ve only worked in Birmingham, the staff have been super supportive, welcoming, down to earth and as helpful as someone arriving from overseas would like an agency to be! Adrian who runs the Birmingham office has always answered my questions and given me valuable advice regarding teaching in England. Any issues or concerns I may have had with different schools, Adrian has dealt with in a most professional and supportive manner.

My time in England has been amazing and I can’t give Time Plan enough praise for making my teaching transition from Canada to England as smooth as possible! I’ve had a blast! Thanks Adrian!

Timeplan is a great agency to work for. I have been placed in great schools, and have been very well supported and looked after!

There is regular communication and updating, the socials are well organized and inclusive and the team work hard to make good relationships with schools. This in turn helps teacher placements to be a smooth and happy experience.

I found Timeplan to be of a very high standard compared to other agencies I was registered with. From the initial registration in NZ they maintain regular contact via phone and email making sure I was aware of any jobs coming up and that I was comfortable and prepared for my big move overseas.
Once arrived in the UK I went straight into the Surrey / South West London office where the staff there were so welcoming, professional yet approachable. They helped me with the setting up of accommodation, bank accounts, UK police checks and they had made me aware of the documents I needed to bring so my file could be complete and I could get out to work asap!
The schools they sent me to were lovely, they provided me with regular training and support with school visits and regular phone calls.

Timeplan is a fantastic agency staffed with teachers themselves who have been through the same situation as myself which I feel made such a difference to the service they provided me. I highly recommend Timeplan.

TimePlan is a fabulous agency. I worked with Impact Teachers before switching to TimePlan and the difference was amazing. They don’t work on commission, which makes a big difference. TimePlan Surrey works with amazing schools. I loved the schools and the office staff were great! I guess the bottom line is; If you are a good teacher, they will do anything to help you out and pay you to match your skills. Socials were an added bonus and awesome! I met all of my friends in the UK at these socials.

TimePlan has always been a pleasure to work with. The staff are all young and understand what its like to be moving to a foreign country. The support provided is second to none and they have always gone out of their way to help me, even when I have asked lots of questions. The monthly socials are fun and have made friends with everyone in the office as well as so many teachers from all over. TimePlan provide a complete service and I can’t recommend them enough.

Timeplan is great at helping you get settled. They do a lot of the leg work in paper work for you which other companies wont do. Timeplan has guaranteed supply which is AWESOME! It is quite expensive to live in London so knowing I was going to get paid while still having the freedom of doing supply was great.
They had lots of work all over and were always trying to find me full time work if I wanted it.

I have to say that timeplan is probably the worst agency in London. Not only did they forget to mention that they lost my crb while I was still in Canada getting ready to come over, they never once called me for work. Their rate of pay is the worst out of all the agencies. Everyday I would call in and they would always say “your next on the list”. It was a blatant lie. I would never reccomend this agency to anyone. It was a disgusting experience.

Timeplan kicked me off Guaranteed Supply for failing to answer my phone at 10am (I rang back at 10:30am, after discovering the missed call) and found me very minimal work in the time following. When they finally found me a long-term placement, they forgot I existed – when their representative came to check on other Timeplan teachers at the school, she conveniently forgot to see me…every time she came. I was lucky enough to finally take myself off agency and find a job independent of Timeplan!
