Abigail invited me for registration and promised to secure interview for me since that day no help at all. They just wasted my time. These are my very honest comments. Really disappointing .

I hated a job I was in, and quit it in November of last year, with no job to go to after Christmas. Within 2 days of speaking to Servoca, through their London office, I had a job lined up for January, which has since become permanent.
My contact was lovely, caring and always emailing or phoning to check that everything was all right – and any niggles I had were dealt with almost immediately.
    Recommended.

I am very impressed with the services and honesty I have received from Servoca. The relationship I now have with the agency staff is gone beyond official to really friendly, cordial, caring but yet professional. It has been a pleasure working with Servoca. The height I have reached today in the School I work in has been as a result of real diligence in sourcing the right school for me. I have no reservations in recommending Servoca. Thank you Rene.

Everyone at the agency was very personable and gave me offers from schools that fit exactly what I was looking for! The registration interview was also very efficient in terms of compliance and getting to know my consultant. I managed to get a job in 3 weeks after the registration interview as an NQT Teacher! I would definitely recommend Servoca Education to any other NQT’s!

Servoca Education Resourcing London office has among its employees a good cadre of professionals willing to go above and beyond for the teachers they place. The staff is very friendly and easy to get along with. I will go as far as saying true service with a smile (in my case a big laugh). Rene Gordon is truly brilliant at what she does and Niomi is really personable.

This has to be the best agency I have worked for so far…. they are pro-active and very on point, I would like to give a special shout to my agent who deals with any query I have Abigail.

I would advise anybody who is serious regarding education position to contact Servoca Education Resources.

I joined the London office as a PGCE student. Was offered 2 interviews at the sort of schools I was interested in within the space of a week. Rene gave me advice all through the process and then negotiated a fantastic starting salary (well above M1) for me. Also negotiated a June start (so I got paid for the summer months). Have recently returned and Rene is as helpful as ever. A patient, sympathetic and experienced agent on your side is a wonderful experience. I am lucky to have found Servoca.

I have been working with the London office for a couple of years on short term posts in secondary schools and colleges. I have been placed in a great school for September and going back in January! Great service from my consultant is personable and always makes time for me. Great agency by far and I have signed up with a lot over the years!

Joined hoping it would be useful to gain some teaching (paid) experience, came across convincing somewhat during initial recruitment(Halifax branch), however after that they did not want to know! Seems they JUST want to enlist (presumably want the reg. fee!) then they are not bothered in the slightest!! If you WANT to waste YOUR time (and money!), go ahead and get in touch with them! They don’t even deserve the 1 star rating, to be honest….

Registered with this agency over two years ago. never had one day#s work despite constantly contacting them at a number of their offices and saying I am available. On phoning London office met with rudeness and gruff voice from a very sharp woman. complete waste of time. They advertised jobs that don’t exist and when you enquire about these jobs they won’t tell you what schools they are in and then never get back to you. Next thing you see on jobs boards they have readvertised those jobs you applied for. No sense of courtesy just another rubbish agency who just want to collect names of people on the rare offchance they will have a vacancy that suits. Don’t bother waste of your time and effort.

I can only speak for the Halifax branch but they are a great team. Friendly, helpful and really go the extra mile on rare occasions when I have had problems. The amount if work I have had has been the same or more than it her agencies at a better rate than most, no pressure to take jobs I didn’t want, and they’ve done a brilliant job of matching me to suitable schools. Where schools have messed up and let me down the agency staff have fought my corner. Would and have recommended them to other people.

Have been with this agency for a while, even turning up to register at the London office, I was put in what looked like a storage room and left to register by myself, no chat no nothing.
then on the offering of work was told that there was a possibility of an interview. only the day before then being told that I am confirmed to work there not in my chosen subject, not in my key stage and also with SEN, all of which I discovered when I arrived at the school, having been given no information before hand and a 59 second (I timed it) conversation on the phone, useless, pushy and very clearly only out to service themselves, lacking in basic common courtesy or communication skills. the wellbeing and happiness of those that are making them their commission is last on the agenda.

Work for one college – extremely nice place with lovely students and interesting work. Very pushy, greedy and rude agent, rate of pay extremely low for the Center London – any excuse to justify that. I left when they refused to increase my pay after I worked at NQT rate for more than a year and won’t let me opt out of the Umbrella company. Won’t use them again

Alarm bells! The usual schtik of advertising vacancies that they mysteriously aren’t interested in talking about at all (probably bogus) – leaving you with the strong suspicion that they are a group of piece-rate consultants that just want to get you on their books. Tell-tale insistence on asking you for a list of secondary subjects you might teach doesn’t inspire you with confidence in their approach to finding you APPROPRIATE positions. Should you take time out of your routine to register and end up hearing nothing?

Joined in February. I found they are not efficient. We lack of communication and they do not concern my needs and wants. I wish to have everything confirmed but they just do it in the last minute.

When I switch to another agency, they blame me not professional and terminate the contract immediately.
AS a supply teacher, I also need respect and sincere. However, I don’t find they are good enough to treat the teachers well.

Joined in February: one half-day since then. Today, invited to go along to a recruiting do at near Heathrow Airport, to meet prospective schools. I was booked into to see three schools; two of which had gone home before my appointment times, and the other only wanted to recruit some experienced teachers to its supply list. There were four people from the agency who seemed to be doing nothing, very few people from schools seemed to be there, and I was there for most of the afternoon.

Sent me to an academy. Need I say more. When I said I wasn’t sure, they said ‘is it about the money? We can get you more’ and kept upping the rate, which made me wonder how much they were really intending to cream off me at the beginning. Have sent me for jobs which are not my subject area, and have made offers of immediate work that dont’ materialise. Oh, and also, speak a million miles a minute on the phone in that chatty telesales voice while not really listening and fobbing off your questions.

I’ve been lucky enough to work for Servoca Education for 3 years (previously as Day2Day Teachers).

Having worked for another agency who have been less than satisfactory for a little while as well (work had started to dry up a bit due to council cuts on budgets), I really appreciate everything they do.

I work for the Portsmouth branch, who are lovely! They always take time to ask how you are and have a chat, and take a real interest in your life, as well as just as an employee. They send text messages with work on which are personal to you – NOT an impersonal text to all of their employees, so you actually get to accept the work (not ring to find it’s already gone).

If you have a tough time at a school, they don’t put pressure on you to go back there, and really support you as a teacher.

Although I’m not naive enough to think that they aren’t in the business to make money, I don’t feel that this is being put ahead of your welfare (unlike at my other agency).

I worked for them for an entire academic year a couple of years ago, and was working 5 days a week when I wanted them, and I know that work has dried up because schools are using cover supervisors and TAs to cover classes. This is why the amount of work in my rating has a lower score.

They also pay more highly than other agencies around here, and send you to some nice schools as well as tough ones, so you get a balance. They actually take note of where you enjoy working so they can try to send you back there if they get a booking coming in.

Overall, I’d say they were a really good agency, and I wouldn’t fail to recommend them to anyone I meet.
