Who created RMTA?
RMTA was created by a Canadian teacher that recognized the need for an online resource where teachers could share their agency experiences.

Is RMTA an agency?
No, we are not an agency. Rate My Teaching Agency is a website where teachers can rate and review their agencies or read what others are saying. If you are looking to work for an agency, we suggest contacting them directly.

Does RMTA write agency reviews?
We do not rate or review agencies, our users do! RMTA is a platform where teachers and support staff can share their agency experience with others and read what their fellow colleagues have to say.

Are the ratings and reviews legitimate?
Yes! All reviews are written by visitors to the site. We also monitor how many reviews are submitted by individual IP addresses to ensure that multiple reviews of an agency are not coming from the same network. We want RMTA to be a source of information you can trust!

Are each of the rating criterion weighted equally?
All criterion are given a weight of 1 except for “Overall Service,” which is given a weighting of 2. As a result, this rating has a greater influence on the agency’s average.

What should I write about in my review?
This is your opportunity to share your agency experience with other teachers. Try to include information that they may want to know before making a decision on this agency. Try discussing experiences that lead you to rate the agency the way you did.

Are reviews anonymous?
When leaving a review, the “Name” and “Email” fields are required. However, if you are uncomfortable with sharing your name, feel free to enter just your initials or write “Anonymous.” Your email will never be displayed or shared with anyone.

Why has my review been edited/removed?
In some cases a review may be edited or removed if it includes content that violates our Review Guidelines. The guidelines have been put into place to ensure that reviews on RMTA remain trustworthy and reliable.

Why isn’t my review showing up?
To prevent spam and illegitimate reviews, RMTA requires that all reviewers verify their email address. Once you have written your review, you will receive an email containing a verification link. As soon as you click this link, your review will go public (though still subject to our Review Guidelines). If the verification link is not clicked, your review will stay pending and eventually deleted as spam.

Can I add an agency?
Feel free to Contact Us with the details of any agency you would like to see added to RMTA and we will be happy to look into having them added to our site.

Can I make a suggestion or leave feedback?
We are always trying to improve the site. Please Contact Us with any suggestions or feedback you would like to share.

Can I advertise on RMTA?
Yes. There are a number of advertising opportunities on the site. Please see our Advertise page for more details.

Why does RMTA offer advertising?
Simply and honestly, developing a free web service like Rate My Teaching Agency takes a lot of time and effort in addition to operating costs. The site does have to generate some income and advertising is the commonly accepted way to do this (who wants to pay to visit a website?!).

That said, we do try to attract advertisers who provide products and services relevant to you. Ads give visitors an opportunity to see what’s out there and, best of all, you can choose what to click and what to ignore!
